Why are these damn civic so slow

i wanted the 4-door civic for a reason but i also wanted the speed but since the speed dont come with the
4-door i just got the 4-door instead....

give me a list of some minor mods i can do for not to much money to get my civic in condition to at least
try and give some cars pressure ....dont think i'm even gonna try until i get this 115hp car faster

list me some mods to get it up .....nothing like NOS and SUPERCHARGER things im not trying to spend 4 g's for any part on
this car. planning to get rid of it for my 2k2 ALtima.

Unless you had a geo metro before your civic, get used to it.

Stop complaining about your car if you don't like it you shouldn't have bought it in the first place or you should sell it now. I love my civic i dont care if some say its slow. If i wanted a fast car i wouldve bought one! Civics are hobby cars to me anyways they keep you busy adding this and that to em and they can be alot of fun. But when others mainly younger people ( which i dunno if you are ) complain about the car it makes me sick mainly because there parents usually are the one who help them buy it and they're spoiled little brats that dont appreciate anything given to em. I worked hard to get my car and i enjoy every little bit of it.

Just my 2 cents, ignore anything that doesnt pretain to you

Well i love my car. It may be slow, but compared to my last car, this thing hauls. And i have to agree that if you wanted a faster car then you should have looked for one.

I love my civic The quality is good the car is good and I don't need a fast car Coz I don't race. I don't want to get another speeding ticket. But if you mess with me on the freeway I won't back out on you. Coz I got skill dude. Even i drive a Metro or a f@king Tercel I still can get back to you

YOU'VE GOT A CIVIC! C - I - V - I - C ! It's just a Civic!

You guys who complain about the speed of your cars need to calm down, seriously...

if you wanted a fast sedan, you should have gotten a TL Type S, so stop whining
BTW, there are not "minor" mods that will make your car super-fast

Get a CAI if you have a manual tranny.
Get a SRI if you have a automatic tranny.

Considering our cars (Ex model) come with a 1.7 VTEC w/ 127 hp, I think they have plenty get up and go. Although it did take a while to get used to a car coming from a Cobra that had over 380 horse to a car with around 110 to the wheels.

I'm 17. I would be happy driving anything. Fortunately, I drive a Civic. The reality is...Civic's are slow...especially when you have a lx sedan that can barely reach 80mph with a full load!! But then again...I'd be happy as long as it moves forward and has working brakes.
I believe minor mods are only mods that will make your car look faster.

i paid 15,400 for my ex coupe witch is great car for the price i will get atleast 150,000-200,000 miles out of it if you don't beat on it. now if you wanted a fast car you must of read the horsepower wrong cause a civic is a family/teenager car.

same here, my civic ex feels really fast compared to my 88 dodge omni (though the omni had more torque.. 122 ft-lb@much lower rpm than the civic)

remember that the civic is an economy car, it wasnt made to be fast, and at the moment theres not much you can do to make it fast that isnt gonna reduce the life of your engine (nitrous)

WTF....then why is my Civic Fast.....It is almost as fast as my GF's 2001 Acoord V6 Coupe.

I race her from time to time, and my car's front bumper is at her back bumper everytime like clock work, and her car has 200 HP, and mine has 127 stock, and I have a AEM SRI and DC headers......so I ask again, WTF, why is my Civic fast ? HA HA...get a turbo, then
you can stomp all kinds of cars on the street.

Re: Why are these damn civic so slow

Well, yeah, Ford.

Yeah, if you want a race car, why in the blue hell would you buy a Civic? Bad eye sight?

I buy my Civics because they are econo boxes, and that's what I want. Economy.

There are many race cars out there. By now (from 2002) this guy ought to have learned that and got a racer of some type.
