not nitpicking, but 427=7L the 427 is the B16 of the big block world. The new Z06 has a 7K redline, and I've heard of full race 427s getting 8+K RPMs (I understand about revving and HP and how it does not guarantee more, but a roadcourse car set up w/ a aluminum 427 howling at 7500rpms would make me forget about most other cars).
Yeah...I got to drive one, an auto, and it was still awesome. Sounds badass for stock and the interior is so nice from what I remember. It got up pritty damn fast on the course that I was on. I want one so bad now, too bad I'm poor and in college.
The GTO is an awesome car. If i cant afford a vette then im all about an 06 GTO. They wont make them past 06 and may be back in 08/09 in a different more expensive form, its the same as a Holden Monaro from Austrailia. Its easy to mod and not bad for 32-34k. If you go with the auto (i dont know why anyone would, however they make a kit to convert it from a 4 to an 8 speed auto) you also pay a 1700 gas guzzler tax. I want it. Now.
My SL65 rim, because a rim is all I can afford

The GTO are fast as hell, this dude i know comes up to the streets to race. Some old camaro wanted to race him it was a SS with a 454 in it. The gto only had 5.7 liter and exhaust and reprogrammer. When they raced they were even at the begining but the gto finally took him. So i have high respect for GTO after all it's a corvette and i love corvettes.

The 427 rat motor in aluminum is not a run of the mill engine, if you have that engine, you have got some serious cash in your car.
