Ok, I might add its 2am and I am a little pissy b/c of a lot of [IMG]i/expressions/beer_yum.gif[/IMG] ... anyway...about all these engine swaps/turbos and such. First off, despite what you say, alomost ANY engine can be put in these 2kwhateveryou callems. (I dont own a honda civic I just know someone who does so I decided to join the form). Yes, you can argue all you want, but if someone would just put a little time and effort into doing this project, you could fit any motor, b16b, turbo rx7, v8, anything. Also, about turbo chargers, why the hell wont someone just make a damn turbo charged civic 2k? A few trips to a machine shop and a custom tubing place and you should be fine. Turbos can be custom fabracated in less then a week...unless your retarded and down know sh*t about cars. Anyway....I dont know why supercharergers are mentioned in the title but I am sure the same applies... I am just hoping some of you people agree.....if not just blame it all on I am a junior member and I have no clue what I am talking about. (Btw if someone wants to fund any of this crap I can prove it all to you...)...ok I am going to bed now....race to win!

Okay, I can't resist, so I'll take one stab at this and hopefully it will be through the heart and this will die [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG].

First of all, I am sick of this "well if you had enough money and time", yes, and if i had enough money and time I could rule the world and make everyone drive Skylines and Ferraris and we'd all drink beer for breakfast and have a merry old time. The key concept is a plausible swap that doesn't involve ripping your civic in half to make the engine fit.
Second of all, the turbo RX-7 is not an engine, its a car with a rotary engine. Don't even start about putting a rotary engine into a civic, the wiring alone would be a nightmare. V-8, sure, if you wanna extend the front of the car another 2-3 feet and again, wiring nightmare.
Custom turbos are expensive as hell and the whole returnless fuel pump problem would make the thing even more of a pain. This is the main reason you don't see turbo 2k1's running amok. Let's see, anything else in there I can make fun of...okay I think I'm done for now, now KILL THIS THING!

To install a turbo system you would have to replace the fuel system, makeing the car not street legal anymore. Let alone makeing the turbo system twice as expensive. Which is why the companies that 'ARE' working on turbo's for our car, have not released one yet. HKS can't get over 60hp on our stock fuel system. There's just simply not enough fuel, because of our returnless fuel system.
