the same car
how come people on here, or really everywhere always like thoes supras from the previous years. how come some people just take the cheap way out and get a lexus sc 400. it's the same car, engine just a different body style.

because sc400 comes in only automatic, and isn't the TT I6 like the one in the supra. also, sc400s don't turn nearly as many heads as the supra.
well you can also turbo an engine in a 1969 chevy pickup truck, u can turbo any engine......the supra looks different, has different suspension, and it's basically in a different class.

I wouldn't mind a Lexus from that year, but like mentioned, its not an actual sportscar, its a luxery car. Some people want that kind of thing, just like people wanting the Couger over the Mustang (original ones, not the cheap FWD versions), but the majority still wants the actual sportscar.
Also, I think you meant the SC300 was the same as the standard Supra, becuase the 400 would mean a V8, which was smoother than a Twin Turbo I6.

not saying your wrong, but i really wonder what all is the same about the rsx, engine different, body is different, interior is different, suspension is different, how are they the same? parts are interchangeable, but there's really not much that is the SAME about the car
well ok don't take it word for word. i ment it was the same basic car. just different working parts. like i said earlyer thunderbird=cogar. old old ford musting=mecuri capri
nisan 350z= infinity eclipse=eagle talon
nisan 350z= infinity eclipse=eagle talon
also just as a side issue. how come most people who have toyota celicals (the latest body style) they have a complaint that it's hard to squeez any more power out of the engine, and not a lot of aftermarket support for thoes cars.
I just burnt my tongue

yea i'm talking about that engine. and i'm talking about not boosting the engine, but as far as building it up. not a lot of people talk about how many companies have parts for that engine.

Maybe Echo = xA + xB
Celica = tC
That makes more logic

Ever been to Monkey Wrench website? You can do LOTS of things to the 2ZZ. Lots of support considering its in a lot of cars. Matrix, Vibe, Corolla, Celica, and the Lotus Elise. Lots of Lotus Elise parts are awesome. Just a tad to expensive. But bomb proof motor none the less. Its a Yamaha engine

Your actually wrog. The Civic, RSX, and CRV all share the same chassie. They are very similar under the skin, and have you ever wondered why about 99% of the RSX's parts are interchangeable to ours, minus some differn't screw holes?

here is my view on this...
an IS300 with a 2jgzgte swap, twin turbo, nice wheels, and lip kit are as good as it gets. i know its 4 door. but the supra is a bit of a whale looking creature. hope the next supra cuts down on all that extra body bulge

they are all bought so much that they are now stupid. but a supra is still far greater than the evo, sti, or srt. supra was played out a little much but its still expensive enough and has enough headroom that its a major force in the tuning scene even after all the years. its a good car. not nearly as trendy as the evo, sti or srt. i am so sick of those damn 3 cars.
