I am sure there will be some non-believers. I'll ask Shawn if I can get some dyno charts for proof.

this caused quite a stir back when it first was mentioned by Shawn, however, since then, there have been an endless number of dyno days and dynos of the ap2, all showing a trend in the 200-210whp range on a dynojet.
dynapack always read higher because they do not account for wheel losses.

250 hp on an engine dyno would be the most, making it that honda underrated it by about 10hp.

A. you don't race someone without your wheels on.
B. wheels actually do knock quite a few horsepower off due to the fact that they are a heavy rotating mass.
And lastly, the ap2 isn't any faster than the ap1, so it doesn't really matter what it dynos, because it's still not gonna do better than 13.7.

S2000man01...thanks for finally chiming in. Thanks for your responses. I understand the difference between a dynapack and a dynojet. However, according to Shawn, the difference is only about 10whp. Are you stating that he is wrong? Is he blowing smoke? I don't know why he would make false statements.
I have been on the S2Ki.com forum lately and my first comment is that I don't like the layout. I am having a hard time finding things in that layout. I think the layout of this forum is much more user-friendly.
Anyways, where can I find dyno threads in the S2Ki.com forum?
Again, thanks for your comments and I am not trying to start any battles here. I am simply relaying the information as stated by Shawn.

yes the site has been plagued with "ghosts" that seem to make search not always work. but the new site should have fixed all of that.
Shawn is extremely knowledgeable, so I'm not going to say that I know more than him because I certainly don't.
I merely want to make this point. Regardless of what someone tells you about what "a dynapack dyno should equate to on a dynojet", the fact of the matter remains is that NO STOCK AP2 has EVER DYNO'ed higher than about 212whp on a dynojet. Ever. ever ever ever. lol.
So while shawn, yes, is extremely knowledgeable, i do not necessarily agree with the statement about the dynojet dynos. FWIW people HAVE dyno'd on his dynapack at about 230hp, then gone on a dynojet dyno and only gotten 205-210whp.
Just take everything with a grain of salt. And don't go bouncin all over S2ki with a statment about your car being way underrated and you got 230whp on shawn's dynapack dyno, because honestly, they'll probably lay into you about it. lol.
bottom line is, regardless of what it does or doesn't dyno, that does not change the fact that you still can't do better than a 13.7 stock.

Can you please tell me where on the S2Ki forum I can find dyno threads?
When I get an S2K, and have Shawn dyno it, I will start a thread on the S2Ki forum but I will state that the test was done on a dynapack.

that's the best thing you can do. simply say that your dyno was done on a dynapack and leave it at that. otherwise your thread will spiral downward into the pits of thread hell. lol
do a search on s2ki in all forums and type in the search words exactly like this:
+dyno +day
that will get you some decent results methinks.
