I will be buying an '05 S2K within the next two months. A few days back I talked to Shawn Church at Church's Automotive Testing about what bolt-ons actually make power on the S2Ks. He mentioned several options, some of which are as follows:
Intake:
AEM CAI
AEM v2
Mugen
Header:
Toda
J's Racing
Exhaust:
Mugen
J's Racing
Shawn also mentioned that Honda seriously under-rated the horsepower on the '05s. He stated that he has dyno'd several stock '05s and they have averages 230whp (dynapack). Note "dynapack"; this would roughly translate to 220whp on a dynojet.
I am sure there will be some non-believers. I'll ask Shawn if I can get some dyno charts for proof.

Its not so bad and so dramatic. The rsx base and rsx-S have similar power when using not in VTEC plus there heavier. The civic ex is a fairly flexible nimble daily driver. You really need a V6 Honda is your looking for that low end ooomph.

Aside from power gains you can realize some weight savings which is always a good thing.

I came to the realization a few weeks back that no matter what I do to my car it will still be a Civic. It doesn't have nearly the potential as an S2K. So, I am movin on to bigger and better things.

So, if what Shawn is stating is correct, Honda has indeed under-rated the hp of the '05s.
Try again... 205-210whp.
That's what your gonna get if you take your (bone stock) s2k to the dyno (non dynopack).
Look, http://www.dynoperformance.com/searc...489&safeid=489
so adding .2 liters gave them an extra 37whp???
I would like to see a o5 s2000 dyno 230whp stock, no hate, just show me if it's out there

ur not gonna get much with boltons, ur gonna spend alot of money and not get much in return. If u wanna see gains go FI. if u don't mind losing some top speed, and want ur best bang for the buck with acceleration get some gears

honestly i don't even think you'd see that much, but also remember mods on this car are atleast double the price as compared to everything on the civic. hopefully within the next month i'll be getting my exhaust and man is it costing a pretty penny

oh i love it. i'm either gonna get the invida or T1R Sparrow leanning towards the latter. i know single exhaust gives more gains but i just can't see the car without dual exhaust

Again, I am getting ahead of myself, but I am thinking about getting:
Mugen front bumper:

Mugen rear bumper, exhaust and rear wing:

I think those pics are for an AP1..not sure if the design is different for the AP2.

shouldn't be any different between ap1 and ap2. they have the same exterior design and the headlights/taillights are interchangeable between the two models, so it should allow interchangeability between bumpers

if ur changing the whole bumper the parts are interchangeable, what u can't do is use the lips from the ap1's on the ap2's since the bumpers are shaped different
