C&D TV reviews the 2005 Eclipse GT V6 6spd
The first part of the review went as expected. They talked about its "off the concept room floor styling", and state it’s either hate it or love it. They go on about the fit and finish being top quality and how it makes decent power.
Blah.
They then go on to say that its grown a few inches in each direction over the 3G eclipse (a bloated pig in and of it self). The 4G GT is now wider then the FORD EXPLORER.
They 0-60 run clocked in at 6.2 seconds with the MTX 6spd GT with the 1/4 mile coming in 14.3 seconds@98MPH and change.
Then the best part of the review. The MPG.
In their 300 mile mixed driving MPG test, they managed an astounding 15MPG!!!! That’s right; the new Eclipse GT gets worse gas mileage then your average SUV.
LOL and of course they ended the review with an uber-lie, stating "at a little over 25,000 dollars, the new eclipse should sell very well given its competition. In fact with every new generation of eclipse they sell more and more units, so this should be the best selling Eclipse ever!"
ROFL. I do admit though, when they were revving the engine during the overhead engine bay shot, it sounded pretty good. :laugh1: lol consolation

for 25,000 you can get a lot better car than that. wow. 15mpg when we're at nearly record high gas prices? and considering it's a fat FWD car? yeah, i'm sure they'll sell like hotcakes. 
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

youre kidding right? You want to make that even heavier? lol!
BTW if I win the lottery, rest assured an Eclipse would be the last thing Id want to buy.

Rep Power: 360 well obviously i dont care about speed. its a sexy looking car. thats it. its getting away from being fast and now more a good looker.
but yeah id have another car or a few more that were solely for speed but a nice eclipse would make a good DAILY DRIVER.
