When I get the sales person training brochure on all the new civics maybe just maybe then you will all shut your mouths and just realize that you were wrong.
I also meant to say that the only DOHC motor that they are comming out with will be for the hybrid.

i made a little research on TOV. i came and stumble upon this article.
ok now i assume he works at a CANADIAN plant.
so that in mind, Can SI= US EX; Can SI-R= US SI
but he did mention he was doing two, 2 door coupes, same SI badge, one canadian one american and catch this, same R series SOHC engine. i would understand if the canadian SI has the R18A1 SOHC engine since that is technically our EX, but for the american coupe that he made with the SI badge on it and a 2.0 liter to have the same R series engine????
jzuha01 im starting to believe what you are telling us.
if that's the case, congratulations HONDA you've done it again. rip us with the specs and rape us with the cost.

Correction, built two, 2 door Civic Si coupes, both 6 speed manuals. One Canadian, one American.
The Canadian Si had rear drum brakes, and a 1.8 engine. Listen carefully! On the engine block it said R18A1. Both cars had XM sat ready radios. Auto climate control. rear suspension is different then current Civic. The shock and coil are separate components now. I had a chance to measure the shifter throw. It came out to 5". Measured from tip of the shifter rod (without the ****) and ran the shifter from 3rd to 4th gear. Tires are P215/45R17. Sorry the exhaust is NOT integrated into the bumper. Standard exhaust pipe. The American Si engine was 2.0 (same series R engine) with a big *** straight alloy intake (like on the S2000) going straight into the head. No bends on that intake! Saw no port injectors. Assume new direct fuel injection. Gas peddel is hinged at the floor. Saw a neat button that allows the driver to switch between MPH or KPH. American Si gets rear disk brakes. And no there not Brembo Brakes.

I like the rear end. Why do the hybrids come with such ***-ugly wheels? Besides that, the car is too "rounded". from the side it looks like a saturn or neon...I of course am biased, but I prefer the edges of the 7th gen sedan. It doesn't really look like a civic to me. Also good thing they put tape on the emblems, because its not like the steering wheel doesn't have an H on it.

Has anyone notice they started showing the Si interior on TV?
Honda showed it really fast yesterday, like not even half a second, but I did get to see the Si's 3 spoke steering wheel. Appearently a new interioir color for the Si: beige.

looks real nice... now i might consider the sedan if the Si is too expensive
although i wonder how distinct the gauge cluster is going to differ from the Si ... from what it looks like it's about the same.
i like the steering wheel too
i'm not down w/ the 3 spoke

it looks alright
they look alright the tail of the coupe looks too much like a saturn just not feeling that but the front end is nice very intimidating. not a fan of sedans just cuz they dont emote a race quality. i rather there be an analog speedo you just dont get the same feeling from a digital. you know that feeling of watching your speedo moving. the flashing of numbers doesnt interest me.
