ill tell you what... in a few years, when out of college, im going to buy a 2nd gen eclipse or talon and make it my project car. ive been planning this for years since i first got a ride in one. i fell in love! i want a 96-99 eclipse GS-T in white. stock bumpers, CF hood, bride seats, tuned and built 4g63 and nice wheels. thats all. nothing spectacular but lots of HP and ill remove alot of weight!

Fill me in on their awd platform. How come I've really never heard anyone make a big deal about the gsx like people do about evo's and sti's.

are you kidding me? Its just that its older... the evo and sti is the new hotness... back in the day the GSX was a bit hit, and everyone was nuts over it... but the eclipse also had many mechanical problems. Which is also a reason why people didn't stress much over it.

the two guys could of staged it so it looked like the viper was slower, but in reality the viper could blow the doors off a tsi. Well unless he sucked at shifting?

haha a viper was next to me minutes ago and got all pissed when he looked over and i was blasting the jessica simpson remake of 'these boots' and watching the music video at the same time. he just looked at the screen, looked at me all mad then pulled out extra slow. he didnt likey my civic having a much better stereo than his american turd

keep in mind, vipers have MUCH taller gears than econo sports cars. if the viper had a reworked gear ratio, and the guy had some driving lessons... eclipse would lose
