hey guys haven't been around lately cuz my girl hasn't done ish to her car, but now shes looking to drop her car on these progress 2" springs and put some 17" CP8 Racingharts(all my idea) wrapped in 205/45 nittos
is this a good idea for her though is what I'm starting to think...will she need to get a camber kit for this application, is 2" alot for her two door ex, and then lowered on these rims,
2" on my stock eclipse 16 allowed me to put two finger between the wheel and fender, what will I be looking at with the civic? do you think the wheels will overlap? thanks guys

2 inch is a mean drop on 17's just make sure it won't scrap the fender walls........
that's all u have to worry about.......... and any 2 inch drop is aggressive.

man two inches is that much, are any of you dropped 2" on 17's
205/45r17 is almost the same size tire/wheel as stock, so anybody lowered 2" on stock wheels give me a rundown on how low your car is? does the wheel go under the fender cuz I definitely don't want that... answer me these couple of questions if you're lowered 2"
a) do I really need shocks, I mean for godsakes, the car is 6 months old?
b) for starters, meaning which will start to show first, which camber kit should I get right away, front or rear?
c)will front and rear sway bars stiffen up what the factory shocks lack? (hence holding off on buying new shocks)
thanks guys for taking the time on this.

Im not really sure if you compare your Eclipse ride height to Civic Ride height. I mean if you drop 2 inches in your Eclipse and there are still 2 finger gap on your fender it doesn'T mean its the same with civic. Im not sure, but looking at the Eclispe I notice it has a bigger fender than the Civic. You can even put 18 or 19 on the eclipse with a little problem. Not like in civic where when you put 19 you need to shave the fender. Im using a 17" and Im not really sure how much I drop my car coz Im not into inches Im more of a Wheel and fender gap kind. I got a ground control. I have a one finger gap on each wheels. Well sometimes when I aproach a bump or Dip my fender got scrape with the tire
Hey,
I have progress springs (2 inch drop) with 17 inch Axis Touring Cups. Take a look,

Its hard to tell how the tires look under the fenders on that 1st pic, which btw was taken about 2 weeks ago.
Since then, the rear has settled in, and matches the front. These pics were just taken 5 minutes ago.

FYI, I have had these springs since September. Pretty decent. Not really that bouncy. To me its quite perfect. Especially when the rear settled down.

i wish i could see those pics, but how your tire wear and did you get new shocks, or a camber kit
hey did you use an impact wrench to lower your car? why did it take you 8 hours
let me know if you start cambering, I guess the back goes first.
