Thinking About a New Car
I'm thinking about selling my Civic and buying a new car. I'm looking at a 350Z or a Lancer Evolution RS. What do you guys think? I'm really leaning towards the RS (I love turbos, AWD, 4 door) but I think the 350's are a little classier. They're about the same price new but I might consider a used 350. I really don't think I would consider a used Evo. I assume that most people who own Evo's drive the sh*t out of them. That may not always be true but I have a feeling that most of the time it is.

After I reread my post before submitting it I KNEW that would be the first response. I'm sure they do. You're right. So, anyway, moving on......................
350 anyday. evo's cool too but its already turboed so you can't really do much modification except for upgrades. But hey, if you're not going to modify the car you'll be getting, evo's cool.

I'll definately be modifying it. Probably no exterior mods except for wheels and tires. It is sooo easy to pull crazy power out of factory turbo charged cars, USUALLY.

G35's are even classier then Z's, have room for 4, and probably won't be driven as hard as some real hard core sportscars like EVO's, STi's or Z's. I don't know about the availabilty of used 6-spd ones though...
Anyway, out of the two, I'd go for the EVO. It comes stock with a turbo.

i see a lot of moms and older men driving the z's. all i see driving evos are guys below their 30's usually, but you know what anyone is going to do with an evo and thats rag the hell out of it or modify it and baby it and sell it for lots of money. i say 350's dont get the **** driven out of them anywhere near as much as evos, but maybe thats just around here... cali is different.
Well I think the people who see who know cars will like an evo over a 350z, buit for an average folk, a 350z is the "sportier" and more appealing car. But I'd recommend a g35 also, that car is so hot.
i was talking to this one guy and he has a neon srt-4 and he says its great he said "it beats 350zs, wrx stis, rsx-s's, evo's, and cobras alive. its made just like a viper is its just in a new body so it doesnt draw all the attention." he says "its a sweet ride and handles like a formula 1 car". i personally would go with one of those because from what he and his friend were tellin me they are the best cars ever made.

There's no way I'm buying a Neon, plus I'm trying to get away from a FWD platform. I love the G35 but it's out of my price range. I thought about an STi but it is so similar to the Evo and the RS model is cheaper soooooo......

I'm 25 but I'm not settling down anytime soon. I go out all the time and I don't see that ending soon either. But, I think I'm getting a little old for the car I drive. I want my next car to be modified simply and tastefully on the outside and be a total monster in the canyons or on the strip. The 350 seems a little bit more "grown-up" but the Evo would probably be more fun to drive. I'm going to test drive both of them this weekend (if time permits).

Oh man, I'm glad you reposted. I thought you were a total jackass when I read that first post but I figured I would be nice and let it go. Glad to hear you're not
. Your point about the chicks has definately crossed my mind.

I think I'm leaning more towards the 350Z now. From what I've been reading on other sites, it seems like a more solid car. Plus, some of the points that have been brought up in this thread are things I have already considered but they carry more weight when hearing them from other people. The test drives are still the deciding factor, though.
