bad exaust noise help

My car makes that race car noise with no mods. My buddy and I figured there must be a leak in the exaust somewhere, but even after fixing the bad gaskets, I still get the same noise.

We first replaced the gasket that goes on the muffler. The old one was tore up!! I did notice that the race car noise is gone from the back of the car. We also replaced the exaust manifold gasket (the one that btw engine and exaust manifold), and we looked at the gasket btw the exaust manifold and the pipe that goes to the muffler. This one was fine.

Are there any other exaust gaskets to check for? I still get the race car noise. Could it be my valves? I also noticed that my car doesn't pick up as well as it used to.

hole in the muffler/cat or manifold, probably, and where you cant see it..
valves wont make a noise in the exhaust, assuming thats where the noise is coming from

put the car on jack stands... lift it completly off the ground... Have some one start the car and hit the peddle (without being in the car!) And listen for where the sound is coming from... If its sounds like the whole pipe.. It may be the header, or cat. If you can't hear it as loud in the engine bay, It maybe the cat. You can also feel for excaping air leaks. Check on top of the muffler. May be a rust hole.
