Issue with trunk lock!!! HELP
Issue with trunk lock!!! HELP
I posted this in another section, but I will probably get more replies here so........
Sup peeps!!
yea, so my (04 coupe) trunk popper stopped working, I took it too the dealership the last time I had my oil changed and they "fixed" it. On my way I went, and then the next time I went to school (Wayne State, Detriot), I went to lock my face plate in the trunk, and guess what! the ufcking thing dont lock!!!
so I recently had my third oil change, and I told the service dude, he looked into my trunk popper not locking prob and said that they can replace it, but it will be too much of a problem to have it match my ignition key, and therefore I will need a new key for it!!!
WTF, what shall i do here, I wouldnt really care but I like to lock my subs and face up and without the locking thing I cant!!! and therrs no way in hell im carrying two keys around with me, I pay as much as everyone else, why should I have that problem!!!
anyone have any suggestions?????

um just open the trunk and look for the cable that goes to the latch. Disconnect the cable and voila, the lever by the driver seat doesn't work. Then just use your key to open the trunk.

yes they have to fix it. just tell them to fix it right. and if it happens again ask to see the manager of the dealership explain to him that his mechanics are idiots and to get your car fixed right for the last time. if your under the warranty your fine. good luck
when u go there again and you see the same bastards, immediately ask for the manager first then talking with them. dont tell them why neither. when the manager comes, mention how the techs tried to **** u over and whatnot.
