Whoops! I left the three cabin lights on for one night and one full day and the next day I try to start the car and it's a no go.
I check another key thinking the immobilizer chip is damaged, no go. Then I pop the hood and check fot the little green battery light. It's dark, it's not green. Whoops! Aw crap, now I have to wait for my dad to bring home jumper cables. Then a short trip on the highway to recharge the battery. All in all, it's fun I'de say since I'm doing something new with my car. I even got to miss a day of classes.

Rep Power: 293 Is it ok to jumpstart our cars? My dad told me if my battery ever went dead, don't jump start it cuz the car is al electrical. I think he means that it might mess up the ECU or something.

Rep Power: 0 Does it say not to jump start our civics in the owners manual? If not, then there is no problem with it. Millions of people have jumped started engines for years. There is no way it will screw with you electrical system ***IF DONE CORRECTLY***

Rep Power: 395 For those of you who think it's dangerous read the manual, pg. 273. It tells you how to jump start the car.
I know, I suck. It happened yesterday when someone on the forum mentioned that the OEM foglight switch with the blue backing doesn't fit in a coupe. The one with the brown backing does. Anyway, I had to check, so I took the OEM foglight switch that I bought with the blue backing and I installed it. Everything fit well. I had the three cabin lights on when I checked this and I think I went back to the computer to write into the thread that everything was fine. Then I just forgot to go back to the car. Whoops! Rep Power: 395 Yeah, I could kick start. I was thinking about that. However, my car is in the garage right now, I'm on a rather steep hill, power steeing wouldn't work, and I'm all alone at home. Who's gonna push?

Rep Power: 0 That really sucks, buddy.
funny: I had an argument w/someone last week about leaving lights on/battery dying. They were arguing to me that people leave their headlights on (which wastes way more electricity than the cabin lights) can still start their car. Anyway, the person was pretty stubborn with it, and I was saying that it's better to be safe than sorry (I wasn't going to be leaving my car's lights on..no way!). Anyway, they were saying that my car is new --as the battery is also new. I am sure going to link this thread to them and stick it in their face!

Rep Power: 395 Welp, I did it. I did exactly what the manual said on pg. 273 with my sister's civic as the donor car. I drove around for 30min. and then I parked the car. I tried it out once to see if it would start and it does. The little green battery light isn't very green though. That means that it needs more charging. Where should I go? Hum...

Rep Power: 0 Hey, Grey. I'm just wondering. Are you using the stock battery in your Civic? I was once told those batteries are worth changing after some time, that's all so... gimme your imput.

SoNiCcIvIc: Yep, stock battery. I think I'll get a better one later on.
