Here is a question. The tranny on the EX what is the HP rating? Also how much power can it handle?

the 01-02 trannies suck.. mine was replaced twice before I even boosted and that was just with an AEM intake and exhaust. Now its rebuilt with the TCI Auto kit.

*anyone looking for a spare tranny I got one for sale or trade *

it can barely handle the stock 90whp that comes with the car.

one of the las vegas guys swapped his 01/2 transmission for the 04 and he says he likes it...it's in the tech forum i think....

um btw this "sucking" of trannies is only on the automatic models. haha. good thing some of us drive a stick. later

umm not its not.. i drive a stick.. lost ALL the syncros in mine. at one time. The damb shift fork bent and jacked everything up. warenty is good

agreed. i taught 2 chicks to drive a stick on my car. nothing messed up yet. i even learned how to drive a stick on the car i bought. i got taught on diff cars but i really got decent off the car im driving. user error. agreed. btw how the hell do you loose all synchros at the same time? did you keep trying to force the gear or something?

The rsx tranny has been rated to handle up to 300hp
The civics auto sucks ***.. I have heard around 160whp is what they can handle
I known many autos that have been busted when they turboed on the d17 setup
To be honest any work on a d17 is stupid. You will turbo it build it than learn your still slow and this engine is worthless.
Trully only k series is the way to go. Buy a new car if you dont know what your doing on a swap!
