^ Thats no biggie. You could easily change that.
Stuff that is a little harder to change like the dashboard layout, the engine and a bunch of other more expensive stuff is more what I'm worried about.

To me it looks like a combination of Cobalt SS, Saturn Redline, with some Nissan in it.
I really don't know if I like it but it will probably grow on me and I 'll end up buying my 4th Civic.
I don't know, the Si looks very simple/plain except for the 17" wheels and low profile tires. The spoiler is not that good looking either although I 'm sure it'll be standard on the Si. The Si should have small side skirts, front fascia, or some kind of body kit to distinguish it from the other models besides just larger wheels. I 'm hoping it will at least have a better suspension than the LX/EX. Well at least it's not another hatchback that looks like a Focus. They learned their lesson with that one.
The Si does however look lower than today's Civic. Actually they all do, even the one without the sunroof. They probably lowered them 1/2-3/4" to reduce the drag coeficient which helps with gas mileage. I also hope they haven't gotten much heavier because even with 140hp, they could end up slower. 7th gen coupes are pretty light at around 2500-2550 which explains the low 8's in 0-60. I know my '01 EX is faster than my last 6th gen. But if the 8th gen EX is ~2700lbs or 2800 like the 7th gen Si HB, then I doubt it's going to go any faster than 9sec to 60. I 'd like to see a 160hp EX model (140+hp for DX/LX) but also lighter than the Si which is better for fuel consumption. They have to increase the HP by at lest 10-15%. The Civic has been way behind in power from all other cars in its class and price range for 2-3yrs now. My niece bought a Sentra Spec-V for under $17K (after rebates and negotiating) with a kick a*s stereo, etc. and that car is very torquy and quick.
Anyway Honda has the tough job of maintaining the Civic's reputation of being #1 in its class for gas mileage, and still try to please the enthusiasts with a peppy motor. I give them a lot of credit for that. For this reason, I 'm a little pessimistic about the new HP & Tq #s on the non-Si models. Does anyone know if the specs have been released yet or even rumored specs?
