i dont mind srt4's. and ill give it to dodge, they produced a decent bang for buck car, however, i know of an SRT4 thats MAD down on power...i'd say its a durability issue because hes got 42000 miles on it and intake/mani/boost controller he lost from stop and high roll to a 'lightly' modded RSX-S (app. 36000 miles). ill be honest and say the guy continuously runs the **** out of the SRT4, however, my buddy does the same to his rsx-s. so you tell me.... honda reliability/durability vs dodge 
I would like to input my opinion in this as I am pretty damn tired of you guys bashing on the SRT-4 when it IS truly a great bang for the buck. Sure it's a Dodge, it's ugly, but for $14-16K car that has all that power and a decent interior, it sure as hell is better than your civic for that same price performance wise and interior wise. Cornering abilities? I'll throw in 400 more and it'll perform better than your civic or at least up to par. Before you start saying I hate civics, no I don't because I use to drive and modify one myself, but traded it in becuz I wanted a manual.
My bro drives a 2004 S2000, and he's a damn good driver, but I have yet to see him take it to the track so I don't know how fast he can huddle in that little car, but it shouldn't even be compared to a 22K car. His is a lot more expensive and it better well perform a hell of a lot better too.
Also, for all of you that say that people drive SRT-4 talks lots of ****, I have yet to see one that does, I know a few that drives them at my college, yet I have seen many and many civic owners talk like their cars are ferraris and a few s2000 owners that think they can hog up the parking lots. I'm not saying there aren't any asses that drive SRT-4s but don't make it seem like everyone that drives hondas are sweet, charming and nice as *** citizens. Just My .02 cents

and if you think for 400 more you're going to outhandle a civic in auto-x you got another thing coming. lol. dodge made 500 of the ACR version again (a LOT MORE than 400 in mods) just to be competitive in auto-x.

As you can see the majority of SRT4 owners are flaming idiots. They have next to NO respect for any other cars no matter how fast they are. In many threads they bash on Evos as being overpriced crap and with $x,xxx in mods the SRT4 would out handle and out run an evo.

I know the SRT-4 is 22K new, I was saying that the 2004 model you can get for 13-16K as someone has posted, and for that price I'd choose the SRT-4 over a newer year honda civic anyday dodge or not. You stated SRT-4 owners talking **** on forums, I'm talking about seeing the people talk **** in person, I don't base my facts on forums.
Also you all say the SRT-4 can't corner worth a muthaload...from what you guys sound like, you're saying if I took the car on a highway U-turn it'll roll over and crash, as shitty as the SRT-4 is in handling, it does real life cornering and handling normal roads just fine. Not everyone takes their car autocrossing. For their reliability bashing, I also haven't seen a SRT-4 dead on the road. I could state more of my points and rebuttals against ur claims and opinions, but i think you all know where I stand in this situation already. personally im not a fan of a stock Civic. But then again, id never leave a civic stock. Cept the 7th gen interior is very nice. Stock they have bad body roll, shitty tires, gutless engines, and less than adequate brakes. cept for the Si's with 4 wheel disc's and old CRX Si's. ( CRX Si= best car ive ever owned stock for the price) BUT civic's can do really well with a few cheap mods, wider tires. better brake pads, losing a few pounds, coil's, and on any other gen than 7th, engine swaps are cheap and easy to install. This is why i love the civic, because it's very versitile. I just wish honda would actually make a car thats got it all, 98-00 Si was very nice, but needed a B18c, not a b16a, GSR was very nice but to heavy. and the 7th gen Si needs a real K20. If honda would start upping the power i think they would have A LOT more young buyers out their. Even if it was a limited production car i think it would sell very well even if its a few thousand more. its about time honda made a 14 second stock civic.

Most people, when they get their *** completely handed to them, have the ***** to swallow their pride and admit that the faster car won. this is not case with most SRT4 owners. The average SRT4 owner no matter how bad he got beat will goto srtforums.com and talk **** about whatever car beat them
I have seen videos posted on srtforums.com where a swapped and turbo'd civic hatch complelty destroys an SRT4, and instead of people complimenting the civic, all you hear is how much Hondas suck. Or how the SRT4 must have been stock, or he wasn't full throttle, or he wasn't racing, or he was a bad driver. But not one good thing said about the civic. This is shear ignorance and this is my many people do not like the SRT4 in general.
Additionally alot of SRT4 owners think they are the kings of the sport compact world, but negelect to mention that alot of the problems they still suffer, have been solved by the import guys a long time ago.
