Trade-In?
Before I start putting some serious money into my civic i've been thinking about trading it in. Before my plan was to build up my internal and then turbo my civic but now that i'm almost done w/ most of my bills i'm wondering is it worth it or should I just trade it in? Right now i've been going to a couple of dealers and seeing what I can get and right now most dealers will give me around $10,000 for my civic on trade in. Not a bad down payment.
Right now i'm considering
05' V6 Accord EX 6-speed for $24,113 w/ my AAA discount
or
05' STI for $30,501 w/ AAA discount
What do you guys think? I was also thinking about a TRD tc but I haven't had time you go check those out yet. One thing i'm concerned about is insurance. I'm sure the STI would be expensive compare to a civic but w/ gas prices going up car dealership are getting desperate to sell. The Subaru dealership really wanted me to buy the STI right then and there. Any suggestions or concerns of your own? Let me know what you guys think.

If you get the Honda, go to Colonial Honda in Glendale.
Their service department is the best.
Replaces warrantied parts with NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
I got my motormounts replaced under warranty without any question about my mods.
If you get the Subaru, go talk to Desiree the sales manager at Irvine Subaru in Irvine.
Everyone on Subaru forums who bought a car from her loves her, including me, although I ended up not buying the car lol.

the accord is nice, and reasonably quick, good mpg, but fwd is not much fun. the sti would be serious fun, i dunno about insurance though. and milage would suck. (compared to both your vic and the accord). your call.

05 Type-S. NA takes well to mods but still fwd. Cheaper insurance and overall cost. I would get the STI if I could afford it, but I can't so I'm going with the S. How do you get the AAA discount?

Everybody has an accord, subaru are very seldom seen. IMO... if you can afford it get the STi. If you get the accord, everytime you see an STi, you'll go "dam, I should got one". If you get the STi, i seriously doubt if you see an accord you'll go "dam, I should of got one".
Bingo, WRX's and STI's are very rare here in SoCal. There is no need for AWD seeing as it only rains 10-15 days outta the year, so the only people buying them are buying them for the sport aspect of the car. Hell, I see more porsches then I do WRX's.
Go for the STI if you can afford it, you wont be disappointed.

if yo uwant the gaurenteed realibality and a fairly qiuck car go with the accord it will last longer, and you can do some nice mods to them. but if you want a car for just a few years go with the sti, and mod and dricve the $hit outta it.

If you plan on tuning it go for the STi. It's a great car alone, but it could also be tuned a lot more. The Accord is an even better car however if you plan on keeping it stock.
