a different idle problem..

ok, i was wondering about this thing that my car does. its basically done it since ive had it, which is just over a year now. I have an EX 5 sp. and i drive in the higher rpms on a regular basis. id say i shift around 5500 or 6k regularly in the early gears and closer to 3500 in the later gears. but if im out driving hard or whatever for a period of 20 or so minutes when i would be at idle speed (gear in neutral) when i am turning into my driveway the idle dips to that line that looks like its around 400 rpms and the car shakes a little bit but then almost instantly the idle jumps up again and is fine. i had a couple of used cars that would do that but they actually stalled but i shouldnt have to expect that from a new car. my younger brothers gf has an integra gsr and i asked her if she has the same problem and she said she did too, but only when she beats on her car. the only explanation i was given is that i am feeding the engine so much that when i slow down that much its a drastic change that occurs quickly, but that doesnt seem right to me. any ideas? thanks

i think the feeding too much gas is the problem. it's like running for a while and then just suddenly stopping and almost passing out when you do. my car is an auto, but i've noticed the same deal. i'll be going all fast and put it in neutral to coast off the freeway and the car will almost die while i'm going 80 down the road.

i put the car in neutral when i am turning into the driveway and just coast into the driveway. like its in gear until im lined up with my mailbox then neutral because i dont need to be in gear to get up my driveway
