The civic coupe, TL and MDX were all designed in America in Honda's Torrance, CA branch. The tsx, ep3 were designed in Europe.
The originals were all probably designed in japan then sent to America and Europe and just cleaned it up to what each prospective people prefer in those areas, like they did with the 8th gen si. Honda is a big company, but i think people forget the head of that company is still in Japan.
Yes i agree japanese car companies take styling cues from European cars. Then again European car makers take styling cues from Japanese car makers, probably hoping people will think European cars are as reliable as Japanese cars.
The new 06 VW jetta looks like a freaken corolla. Right down to the headlights and tailights.

anyways, back to the original topic. I think the car looks nice. The back seems really audi'ish and the wheels and wheel flares remind of a bimmer. Either way i dont think this will be a focus if it comes to America. Maybe they'll bring as a lincoln or something.
If they do make it a focus, i honestly dont think it'll like anything like this concept.

No way Ford is going to build any vehicle with an interior that nice. Look at the quality of materials and the tight gaps between panels. It does look like an Audi (perhaps that was the objective). Production version would not be able to match those standards. It's a shame, because in spite of the fact some people do not like the look of it, if Ford even built its vehicles to the same spec they built them in Europe they would sell a lot more cars.

Most convertables look like girl cars.
I think it looks fantastic. This debate is pretty pointless - Ford will NEVER sell that over here. Just look at the Focus RS, the car that could pretty effectively own the "hot hatch" segment in the US. Instead Ford just hands it to VW, and to a much lesser extent Honda.
