Xenin is an unknown quantity at this point

the AE86 were famous even before Initial D. i'm not exactly sure how that car was used for Initial D. i'd have to say that its Keiichi Tsuchiya's influence since he helps out on the show. most of 1Stage ID is like how Tsuchiya learned to drift, through snow/rain/dry, he used a different car at the time i believe. the 240hp TRD Corolla in Initial D is the same one that Tsuchiya has, but his is detuned to 190hp. most likely because you really dont need that much horsepower to drift that car. even 130hp can keep up with the 400+hp cars.

bro... These cars are one of the lightest rear wheel drive cars on the planet. They run on a DOHC 4-AGE motor, rear wheel drive w/ lsd.

This car's reputation is not built on initial D. Initial D didn't make this car popular, Keiichi Tsuchiya did. He just used to do what you see in Initial D when he was a young kid. So its sort of based on him and his AE86.

He was one of the first guys in the drift scene and he used an Advan AE86. He not only started street racing but was one of the first in the drift scene. He's been crowned the All-time Drift King Legend. He's also won Le Mans several times in his Honda NSX too.
