If your gonna tune your engine for the best performance tan Spoon is the name you look for...they are able to "tune" the engine and all its components to extract the best all around performance. They are placed in Japan and as far as going all out and swapping then Spoon is the way to go
They redline at around 12-13,000rpm. at least the b16s do, i think the b18s are lower but still....

You summed it all up for me..."Spoon/Honda" "Lingenfelter/Chevrolet"
Lingenfelter is from right here in Indiana and let me tell you, this guy knows what he is doing and how to make some KICKA** cars.

A spoon Engine, Is a engine, that is made by one of the biggest Honda Tuner Companies, in Japan, (Besides Mugen).
A spoon Engine, is handbuilt in Japan, with the lastest from Honda.
They are expensive, reliable, and Fast.
Just about every GTcar that races in Japan, has a spoon engine in it. When I went to a GT race in Japan, just about every Honda, Mostly 2001 Integra Type R's, had either spoon or Mugen engines.
Hope I help, Check out their Website, It takes a minute, www.spoonsports.com

Actually Spoon engines aren't all THAT great. They are great engines for Auto-crossing and if you want to go Naturally Aspiriated it's fine. The thing you can't turbocharge or supercharge or add Nitrous to Spoon engines. They are very high compression engines and rev very high.
Remember in The Fast and The Furious, when Brian Spillner says, "Hector just ordered 3 Spoon engines with turbo and naws". No, buddy...imagine an engine with over 11:1 Compression, with 15 PSI and a 100 Shot of Nitrous. BOOM!

A Spoon engine refers to an engine that has been tuned or built by Spoon Sports, a Japanese company known for high-performance parts and tuning for Honda vehicles. Spoon Sports specializes in enhancing the performance, reliability, and longevity of engines, particularly for cars like the Honda CRX, Civic, and other models.
When people talk about putting a Spoon engine in a CRX or older Civic, they are referring to installing one of Spoon's performance-tuned engines or components, such as a Spoon-built B-series engine or a K-series engine swap. These engines are known for being high-revving, lightweight, and built with high-quality, race-inspired components, offering better power, handling, and overall performance compared to stock engines.
In essence, a Spoon engine is a highly regarded upgrade for those looking to significantly boost their car's performance, particularly in the racing and tuning communities.
