d17 or swap?

hey all, i picked up a 02 si veloz back in the summer and am now trying to decide if the stock engine is worth modding or should i swap? also, the claimed 127 hp, is that at the crank of wheels? any help would be greatly appricated
. also, for my first mods i was thinkg the aem v2 intake, apex n1 cat back and a set of aem pulleys with some form of electronics. you can reach me at voodoo989@hotmail.com

Maybe he has to commute in a lot of shyte rush hour traffic and got tired of clutching in/out all the time?
If you want performance, get a swap, or you could try, as I think more than one member has done to turbo your D17, though w. the auto, you'd have to run lower boost with a lot of auto transmissions unless you have the money and patience to upgrade your tranny/torque converter.

ok here is the real deal with the d17 are you going to make huge numbers, no. but it is a fun car heavely modded and it will take on many of the cars out there. the d17 is not going to be a evo or wrx killer but there are many more cars down the list you can take.
if you got the cash swap but just remeber its not only more expensive then a turbo but a turboed d17 on 10psi will take that stock swap so your goign to have to mod the swap also
