Prelude for GF.....help
Ok, So there is a teacher at my gfs school that is selling a 1995 Prelude SR-V. He is selling it for 11900 CANADIAN DOLLARS OBO. REMEMBER THIS IS CANADIAN MONEY. anywho, its in very very good condition and has 128,000kms. What kind of hp and engine does this car have? I tried looking but couldnt find any results, and would it be worth the money if she could get it for 10,000 even? Thanks to everyone who helps

well, its for my gf and shes looking to buy it, I just wanna make sure that its a good vehicle for her to get, lol, i know it will be faster than mine, but i can just drive hers. anywho, what cars could she take with this?
$10,000 CDN sounds like a reasonable price. Insurance might be high since it's a 'sports coupe', but it also depends on the age of the person. What people said up there were right. Heavy car, heavy engine, H22 = 2.2L Vtec w/ about 200 HP...

is it auto or manual? because it's been my experience that even the autos are pretty quick. but nothing beats the feel of a stick
lol, def faster the civic... car could do mid - low 15's stock, civic can't do that. Ive driven a friends prelude (made a post about it in track/street/strip) and I loved it, especially the vtec change over, nice *** car!
It did have 190 hp. $11,900 sounds a bit high, even if it is in good condition. It is a 1995 Honda, so it will eventually rust. Check to see if it was undercoated regularly, because I have seen a lot of the 92-96 Preludes with body rust driving around. Check the underbody and especially the wheel wells for any signs of rust. Ask if it is original paint, because if it has been repainted it was most likely because of an accident, or rust starting.
