Our cars don't have amber bulbs. If you remove the amber inserts (clear your headlights) than the bulbs are white.

if you paint the reflectors black, how would the bulb reflect?
no reflector, no reflection.

so what do u think guys?
this is what it turns out to be when you paint your reflectors like Dark Civic did. Other people won't even see your car blink..
It's the best not to paint your reflectors

What would happend if you took out the amber piece and painted all black except the chrome for the
H-4's.......You'd still be able to see the amber bulb blink orange right????........
hmm.....
I think Im going to do something special to my ride this weekend......

i didnt do mine like dark civic so it is completely clear when i want to signal at night. i only painted the parts where no light was emitted from so it would not obscure any lights or have any dangerous side effects. i have pics with the headlights on at nite but i'm waiting to develop them.

here's how i did it

i took off the bumper and pulled apart the headlights (as if ur clearing your corners)...look in the diy if ur not sure how to do this. i wrapped masking tape over the chrome part that i didn't want to have black (like where the light shines out) . then u gotta use sandpaper to scratch off all the chrome, it'll leave a white color if u do it right, be sure not to do it too hard or ull scratch the headlights. i bought high heat resistant paint, make sure its heat resistant paint or the high temperatures caused from the headlights will fade the black housing and make it green. i painted everything that wasn't emitting light out (like the headlights /signals/parking light). i also left the reflector unpainted cuz i didn't want my car to be invisible at night and have some one hitting me cuz they didn't see my reflector. i think if u look at darkcivic in the forum, he painted like everything except for his headlights and parking lights including his reflectors... i guess its a matter of one's own preferences...good luck if u plan on doing it
