wtf ep3 4 or 5 lug?

wtf ep3 4 or 5 lug?
ok so my friend has an ep3 and his is 5 lug
when i look on the ephatch forums i see a bunch of different configurations
some have 4 and some have 5. ive also seen 4 lugs on the streets so it confused me a lot.
im talking about in the US
did certain years come with different patterns?

yea i do believe the 04's and up came with 5 lug.
