Rep Power: 0 Another muffler Q!
Ok so I got a universal 5zigen fireball exhaust for x-mas and i need to put it on. I'm wondering should I just weld it on to the stock pipe to save cash or get custom 2 inch pipes? Im low on cash now but what is the advantage/disadvantage of the stock piping vs the custom? Anybody have this setup?

Rep Power: 324 Stock pipings w/ your muffler
==========
Advantage: OEM!!!
Disadvantage: No power gain.
Custom pipings w/ your muffler
==========
Advantage: Power gain!
Disadvantage: No problem with me...
Just be sure you get custom piping 2.25" so you can get power gain. With 2" I think you won't get as much as 2.25" gives you and if you go more than that, you'll loose power. Unless you're planning to get a turbo or a supercharger.

Rep Power: 0 What do you mean by custom piping? Changing the whole pipe assembly? Including the pipe that is connected to the catalytic converter? How much did you spend for doing that

Rep Power: 324 I think he means by from the catalytic all the way to the muffler. Because messing with the catalytic converter will mess up your emissions. Companies like Greddy, DC Sports, and other exhaust companies offer in "cat-back" exhausts. I have custom piping 2.25" with Magnaflow Street Series muffler. And I have no problem at all... Rep Power: 0 Yyup, You would be changing the whole pipe assembly starting from the end of the catalytic converter down to the muffler. Just make sure the size of the pipe would be around 2.25.
