Ok. Apparently a lot of people like to IGNORE the sticky at the top of the forum.

So I'm going to make a thread, and while borrowing a few quotes from a fellow moderator on s2ki.com, hopefully stop so many repeating threads and threads showing up in the wrong forum.
First off, GAR (General Auto Ramblings) is about anything regarding general automotive topics that does NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH YOUR CAR!
Do not post here if you are looking for parts for your car, or if someone keyed your car, or if you want to know what color you should get, or if you took a picture of your cat licking its crotch on your back seat, or whatever else that has to do with your car.
Threads in GAR are those that relate to the general automotive world. You can post about a new product you heard coming out, or general automotive questions regarding specs of other models of cars, or maybe a funny story of what some moron did to their car, etc.
Do NOT post here asking questions about swaps or FI, as those go in the swap/FI forum. If you have a video of cars racing on the track or the street, it goes in the street encounters forum.
Here are a list of things you shouldn't even post about anywhere in the first place.
1. What parts will make my civic faster?
-There are no magic cheap parts that will make you much faster than stock. Aside from a bunch of bolt ons, and a lot of weight reduction, you're not going to do it without the use of FI or a swap.
2. I hear a rattle coming from my car. What should I do?
-Take it back to honda because it's going to blow up. No, but seriously, there are quite a few rattles that are normal. Including some that are covered by Honda TSBs. (do a search for rattle and TSB)
3. I'm buying a civic, what color should I get?
-Quoting the words of my friend, you are about to drop $13,000+ dollars on an item, and you want to ask a bunch of strangers what color you should get it in. Next, maybe you should post in off topic, and ask what color shirt to wear tomorrow.
4. What is double clutching? And why does everyone make fun of it?
-The fast and the furious should never be quoted or used as any automotive reference unless you are making fun of it. As for double clutching, do a search for the term: LAYSHAFT.
5. What kind of body kit should I get for my car?
-See number 3.
6. Where can I get XXXXXX parts for my car?
-Do a search. For example, if you want to know what kind of intake to get, do a search on CAI, cold air intake, or something to that effect.
7. I redlined my car the other day and it felt like my car hit a wall. Did I hurt it?
-No. It will only blow up if it's rattling (see number 2)
8. I have a talent for pissing people off, who should I practice this on?
-No one that has an orange, green, or light blue name.
i'll add more as i think of them
