Where does an F22 engine fit into the equation?

I was at a friends house the other day and we were talking about my car. He has an older accord with an F22 in it. I was just wondering if this is a good motor to build? Not that I'm thinking about anything, just curious.

Its a 2.2L single cam isn't it? Most people usually pull them for H-swaps.

as for the F22 accord engine, most people opt for the H22 swap instead, since its about the same cost, and more power.

Yes, F22 is the SOHC Accord engine, it cna do some performance, btu the H22 is the way to go, it has far more mods for it. But the F22 does have turbos avialable and stuff like that. It's the same deal as the civic's, if you just want a fast cat, turbo the F22, if you want a really fast car, drop a turbo H22 in.

H22 differenctial is cheap too. And no it won't bolt up to the F22.

Waste of money and time IMO. The I don't even know of any mounts, so you will have to fabricate those. Probably have to fab up some axels to. And teh F22 has what, I think depending on the year, about 127 hp, that's the same in the D17 VTEC motor, lots of pain and very little gain. Torque might go up about 10-15 ft-lb, but then agian, that's not much for a motor swap.

Yeah, I think that was the highest they ever got though. Most of them are the 127hp though. Still a swap like that for 18 hp?

dont bother with the f22 in a 7th gen... i had an accord with the f22a1 and it was not that fast although, its faster than our dseries. i think it had only 147 HP besides the f22a1 engines are harder to find (94-97 EX) than f22a2 (94-97 LX,DX) f22a2= no vtec f22a1= vtec.
