sad news, sad news...

Yet another one of the original EL modifiers of the day.....has retired and his car is being sold...

I remember this car, cause Will and I did some work on this car as well...

sad to see it go...

If I remember right who is left in this original EL mod team....Me, Telly, EL-Sport, JonBlaze, Kunfuzed.....gee and the list just gets smaller and smaller.

hopefully it will find itself a new home......

Yup...this will be my final major mod year too....after that ELena must strive to maintain her current level of sexiness till she's either totalled or rusted out. Then it's TSX time for TeLLy.

Damn I wish they would sell the EL in the states. I KNOW my woman would have bought one over the civic coupe...

She wanted the TSX, but decided on the civic for its resale since it will be a high mileage car when we are done with it...

I remember like the summer of 2003, hearing about all the mods and such done to all these cars, and seeing the pictures of how they came along. It's kind of sad, wondering if the EL will still exist in a few years, or, ever have the following it once did (as in like 2 years ago).

I remember seeing all those pictures from Darknights, and wishing that I could drive, and some day own a car like that... lol... now that I can drive, the club seems to have dispersed, and the atmosphere in the club went with it.

I simply wonder if the second (or potentially third, for lots of the cars) generation of owners are going to be avid in modifying the cars, or would even set up clubs such as were established way back when for the EL.

Anyways... I barely even go to ClubEL anymore, and this is the first time I've been able to come to this site in over a month... so to all remaining (and new) EL owners, I wish you all the best!

khany, there's still a lot of car enthusiasts out there...people are still modifying cars...and clubel isn't the only club on the net...there's sooo many other clubs...and yes, after telly and i left clubel, the club has definitely dispersed...and the only reason why clubel felt more like a family than a club is because it was the ONLY el club on the net...i'm pretty sure if we started another one it would be just as big and just as informative...but for now, 7thgen is where we are...maybe in the future when we all have more time, we'll work on another clubel site...

Now now gtracing, don't go hinting at things that aren't on the horizon. I myself have no plans to pursue another EL-only site. I did at first when I left ClubEL, but since I was appointed admin on Speedbump, and EL mod here, as well as signing up on various other forums like MP3car (tee-hee), ClubRSX, and Honduh, I'm really enjoying the ability to interact more online with people who drive other makes and models of cars. True you lose the closeness of an exclusive relationship with other EL owners, but I really enjoy all this new knowledge, and it's only helped my modding....
