MAx Hp with Bolt ons (2005 SiG Coupe)
MAx Hp with Bolt ons (2005 SiG Coupe)
I know i can put a turbo in it - but i just bought it and where i live there is no specialty car shops around to do proper tuning etc
And i really dont want to go messing around with the engine too much (waranty etc)
Also i am not looking to race my car i just want to add a little more power ( I know i should have bought a car with more horse blah blah blah - I bought the car cause i love the look)
is it possible to gain another 50 hp at least with bolt ons - cause thats all the horse ill ever need lolol.
And if so do u have any siggestions as to what i wll have to purchase
and whats the best route to go,
Thanks in advance

50 additional wheel horse power on a D17 motor with every normal bolt on, pulleys, cam gear, exhuast, intake, header, is IMPOSSIBLE.
The only "bolt" on that i can see giving massive gains is individual throttle bodies. but taht requires some pretty heavy tuning and things like cams etc.
The max WHP i think anyone can get with I/H/E on a 7thgen civic is somwehere near 110 - 120 IF your lucky.

once you bolt ur first bolt on....ur warranty for YOUR ENGINE is gone...if your worried about ur warranty...go work for stuff like your suspension, interior, exterior and when ur warranty is up.. then go work on your engine....thats the way im goin...you can always start off with I/H/E/(intake,Headers, exhaust)...for your first bolt on.

lol..........flywheels don't give you extra hp......it just frees up what is there.
I got 119.1 WHP on dyno
dyno was done by HONDATA
i have custom made intake and custom made test pipe
10.7 lbs 15' wheels on kumho MX
i'll try to scan the sheet when i have a chance at work

no, not a attemp to flame. If i would, i would have went y0u suck at teh intran3t and u ar3 a c0mplet3 dumb4ass, s3aRch u n00b
anyway, a lighter flywheel allows the crank to spin fast which in turn allows you to accelerate faster. Doesn't give you more hp, just gets you there faster
That is why you feel the increase in performance. Thread
