DX and VP...?

my friend just bought a 04 civic coupe VP...will a dx after-market intake fit a vp? arent both engine's completely the same? and it's auto

vp is a dx with a/c and cd player i think, dunno, but the engine is the same....only accessories changes...

vp is just a dx with side air, cd player, and ac. u can use anything for the dx engines on it.

if they r both autos then yeah it should fit. My aem sri was for a lx/dx mt and it fit my vp mt

just for ya'll to know i traded someone for a injen cai and at first i was gonna sell it since it was for a m/t but i decided to try and put it in and to my surprise it fit just fine. the only difference is the location of the brace that's supposed to secure it was in a place that baarely reached a place where i could bolt it down but it was just fine.

yup.. the brace is the only difference... if you got a dx/lx then you have a brace that connects onto the motor where the vtec solenoid is.. but if you have a ex then the brace is relocated to another mounting point.. thats all it is.. the shape is exactly the same for dx/lx/ex..... if you got a cai... then the bottom mount is also variable based on the type of transmission you got... now if you have a sri then it dont matter on transmission.. just the trim type cause it dosent have a lower mount cause the pipe is short
