when you bought your civic..
when you bought your 7thgen civic at the dealers lot, did you already planned out your future mods or just bought it and see what was offered to you?
second, when u thought about bolt-ons performance parts(intake, header, exhaust), did you expect more then what it really gave?
when i bought my civic at the lot, i didnt know their was a site for the 7thgen civic because i thought it would never happen since the style has dramtically changed. i had no hope for it whatsoever since it was all about b/k series engines back then (honda wise). i wished i knew about this site before i bought the car

first question no i had no idea what was offered and i bought mine because i liked the si looking rims and the color plus the fact that it was brand new 6 months later i started looking for mods
yes i was dissapointed to see our cars didnt make any gains from bolt ons

It looked better than a Corolla at the time and handled better, performance wise, it was about equal... then the current gen Corolla came out.
I thought that there would be a lot of aftermarket support, just like all the older cars, but I was surprised to see that there wasn't and I was also surprised to find out that it was already optimized from the factory.

I like Hondas, and the Civic was "affordable" and good looking. Never thought about modding it until I found THIS site. I do regret not getting the oem fogs, though. Would have been cheaper when I bought the car.

hmm.... I knew I wanted to mod, just didnt know where to start, and didnt know about 7thgen until about 1/2 a year later. I did know that I was going to get a wing which I got a few months later. Bought the car b/c the only choices I was given was Sentra 1.8 GXE, Corolla CE or Civic LX.
In terms of bolt ons, I think I got what I expected...... did a lot of searching on here before buying.

it's a good thing i found this site w/ all this info. i am gonna be saving up money for a swap. That'll probably take till the end of next year... i wonder if the k20's at that point of time will be a lil bit cheaper
when i got it i didnt really think of getting mods, the sales person was tho, he was like, if you want to do anything to your car, call me up, ill know some shops that can hook you up. funny hahaha. i said "no its ok"
My dad bought it (A/T) for daily driving to work. 2 years later he gave it to me (not pay off yet) cause he wanted to change new car! i paid off the last year. i didn't think add on can do much on a D17 and also i got a A/T, so i go for look instead of performance.

Before I bought mine in 01, I saw a white 01 civic at the dealer on 18"s, lowered about 1.5" with a OEM lip kit. Right than and there I knew there was so much potential (lookwise) for this car. I figured an intake and exhaust would do a little more though. I was dissapointed with bolt ons for sure. I knew that these cars would look awesome though. Very first one I saw tricked out was that one. It took about a year or two to really see any others modded.

Yes, I planned out the HUGE *** wing, BIG body kit, BIG RIMS, didnt wana drop it, wanted to get green lights everywhere cus i saw it on Fast and the Furious, got washer led's, basicly every ricy mod u can think of, EVERYONE made fun of me, but i didnt see why, then one day i got into an accident (thank god) and lost ALL of it, Its only after u lose all of it you realize you were a ricer. Now, car is back to stock, Still have the catback and short shifter, Planning on dropping a turbo very soon. I might sell my catback and just keep it a sleeper
