i havents tried it but i know that you can put Si rear brake setup onto any 01+ civic with some little mod, correct me if im wrong

I too would like to do this. All you need is to find EL brakes or Si brakes, but you have to make sure of the year because the newer Si's changed to a 5-lug pattern. Good luck with that.

besides for the looks, there is no real benefit of replacing the rear drums
70% of the braking is done by the front end of the car. The brakes will lock up before the tires do, so u need better tires to stop. u don't need to worry about brake fades in the back.
many people with crx autoX and road race with drums without a problem
i'm pretty sure that u'll get worse braking with the disks in the back since the master cylinder and proportioning would be off

umm, yea... you guys haven't researched this too good...
the rear brakes actually are lighter than the drums when swapped on the 7thgen. there is better braking, we already found out the proportiat valve is the same part on ELs. and it does help the braking on our cars.... and it has been done and talked about to death.
