Give a reason why you wish your civic were faster for... ok, how about we start giving reasons you wish your civic would be slightly faster other than racing...
I totally hate it when some a$$hole cuts me off on the freeway and I can't catch up to curse him until he hits traffic, or if I catch him, my SOHC engine is screaming so loud the jerk can't hear my vast vocabulary
I know the whole slow civic has been beaten to death, but there are just days that I can't stop thinking that: this civic is so f*cking SLOW

yea i wish my civic was faster...i mean it doesnt have to beat evo's but just keepin up with other cars would be nice. Maybe when im done with my 4 years in the military im gonna have some extra cash to swap the engine out.

I don't need my EL to be any faster for any reasons. Even if I'm cut off I just drop a gear, pull up alongside, and hurl garbage and insults. Unless the other driver is deliberately trying to get away from me, I can usually catch up anyway.

because the 7th gen looks so damn good, with a modest bodykit,rims and tint, it looks better and faster than a type s, just sucks when your driving it and constantly reminded that a sunfire can keep up with you.

Rep Power: 0 I dont have a civic, but I use to have a base lancer 120hp/130trq and, it had a bunch of mods to it, but it still felt really slow... granted if a rsx-s, specv or srt4 cut me off, I just think in my head (if I was turbo, u'd get eatin right now), but than the thought stops and I just look and say "hell, atleast it was a nicer car"...

Rep Power: 0 Base RSX's are slow as well. So I dont feel too bad when I whoop on a reg RSX. I havent raced a typs s. Always to busy of traffic to get my a** whooped. Ima get some nitrous though, so I can whoop on people talkin sh**. I hate my car being so slow. I drive my Dads Escalade, and that thing freakin pulls. Threw me back in my seat big time compared to the civic. I need my car like that.

my friends sunfire GT is significantly faster than my civic, and it can actually push u in ur seat a little...

Rep Power: 0 Either this car will die out, or in a few years it will be sought after for the super clean ability of the body style. Either way, I love the 7th gen, but it is a constant battle of whether to do it all, or get another car.

Hey, give it a shot. I've raced a few mustangs out here in georgia. Three total i think. They actually had one heck of a time keepin up with me. I don't think one of em even passed me. And i'm talkin gt mustangs, 5.0's and sheat.

actually mine vi is pretty fast to me, but considering what i had before any car at this point would be faster, i had an 87 blazer and that thing took 12 hours trying to hit 60 MPH.
but i would like it to be faster so that is why i am droping a K20A Type R in there. I am gonna love that car once it is in there, well i still love her now

Rep Power: 0 only times when i wish my civic was faster is when I am loaded with 5 people and i am merging into traffic, and when i had to accelerate from like 50 to 75 mph when someone is catching up in the lane that i just turned into.

Rep Power: 584 theres alot of **** round here that think all of their stickers and tezzas make them fast, for the most part i can beat them, and for all the stangs that think they are just goin to roast a civic 4 banger, my roommate got a new perspective on imports when my civic, wiped the 4 lane divided highway with his stangs *** end, its those GTs and z28s with loud deep exhausts that get to me, like that makes them fast, rev all u want, bc when that light turns green im gone and ur still trying to get started
