Give a reason why you wish your civic were faster for...
i guess we will never be happy... i was checking ephatch.com and clubrsx.com and the argue about hot they get beat by others and how slow heir cars are how they engines suck (ephatch.com) etc hehe hey there will alway be a car faster than your and one slower than yours thats life
just enjoy u car and dont think about it that much

ive never pushed my car to its limits. its plenty fast for me. ive driven in my brothers supercharged vette, i know how it feels to be in speed "zone". but i guess it means a lot more to others than it does to me. i got my vic for reliability. i plan to drive it till it dies...the way i take care of it, that wont be anytime soon!
im glad my civic's as fast as it is...i just love the adrenaline, plus the look on peoples faces when they see a fast civic sedan..they dont get it. I'll eventually get another platform and go even faster, but for now i love my civic...its nice, either way..slow or fast
about 6 months ago i dynoed my civic with 4 of my friends cars. i was the lowest with 102 (my BEST run) and my friends integra was the highest with somewhere around 140. now i like to think that we're both skilled drivers yet he can only beat me by a car length. now then, there was also an accord, a neon, and a cavalier who dynoed with me. all were between 103 and 140 and all had at least 10 hp on me and yet, i can honestly say, i keep up with all of them. except the accord (he cant keep up with me). so tell me why is it that a car that barely breaks 100 hp can beat cars with 10 or 20 more hp easily? im not saying that my car is fast. my car is slow. in fact its the slowest car ive ever had. but before you start wishing that your car was faster than anyone elses, look at the cars that are slower than your slow *** civic and consider yourself lucky that some a**hole with 90 hp to the wheels isnt giving you competition.
ill give you honda guys that, atleast you get better gas mileage, my GAS SUCKS! Civic may not be fast, but when its bodykitted, rims, tires, exhaust, HIDS etc. Its looks beautiful (especially red ex coupe).

think of it like this...
a 300hp 300ftlbs car weighing 3000 lbs
a 150hp 150ftlbs car weighing 1500 lbs would stay even
so if you weigh
1500 lbs and run 100hp and 90 ftlbs
and he wieghs
2000 lbs and has 120hp and 100 ftlbs
you should be able to take him because you are not at peak when you launch...

i have no reason to wanna be faster, if i did.. i would've put thousands into making it fast, not going for looks.. eventually i'll make it a little quicker, not really because i want to.. mostly just to have more of a total package..

but true.
I sometimes wish mine were faster so I could beat my friends POS Escort. She never stops talking trash about that. I get more of a kick out of being beaten by the likes of mustangs. I think it's funny. But guess what, our cars look much better than most new cars out there. Look at the interior of any domestic or imported at the same price range. They simply don't look as beautiful. IMO anyway...
