4 Years with the 2K1
Can't believe I still have this 01 Civic LX! Bought new on 12-13-2000. It is closing in on the 105,000 mile mark. Outside of the front suspension and the clunking noise in the steering when hitting bumps it is holding up pretty good. It has a few other annoying gremlins which pop up from time to time.
If I had to do it over again I would have waited a few years for the "bugs" to be worked out and the extra features to be added. I guess the worst thing now is depreciation with the mileage - Honda dealers won't give me anything for it. Only the non-Honda dealers will give me a "decent" trade value. Plus I still owe $3400 or so.
But compared to the other cars I have driven past the 100,000 mark this car has had the least amount of repair work needed - just dreading the timing belt change at 110,000 miles!

I've had my 2001 since June of that year. It has done fine thus far. It has 71,xxx miles and the only real/costly repairs I've had to do was replace the front brakes and struts (at the same time). The front passenger window also had to be fixed a couple times, because it would only go half way down. Other than that it's been a good car.
Nothing works better than a Chris except a Honda.

I still believe Civics are the best. We got ours when the other cars in the market where all old. The Corolla wasn't redesigned yet. So far, its held up better than any other car we've owned. There have been some suspension problems but everything else has been great. It was so good that my dad bought another Civic. I wish I got the 03 becase the 01 is just a little noisy and less flashy. Oh well, 65k and still going strong. I've been on this website since it was 2k1 Civics too.
My 2001 has nearly 23,000 miles on it, and it seems to doing fine. Like others, I have some noisy suspension "quirks", but other than that, it's been a great car. I'm glad I bought it, but if I could've waited, I'd have gotten a later model year.
I bought mine in May of 01 and have roughly 80,000 miles. I think the reliabilty factor of the car has held up well. There are many annoying quirks but far fewer then other cars I have owned.
The Civic is far better looking. However, I think the only car that beat the Civic in 2001 for the equivalent price was the Nissan Sentra. I chose the Civic over the Sentra due to a better deal from the dealership.

I got my 2k1 in october of 01 and it had 63 miles on it... now it has 82k... =) I have not had any problems yet with it and am hoping my luck sticks around for a while to come. Need to change the brakes though, still haven't done it. Maybe cuz it is mostly highway miles. hmmm
