I live in the San Gabriel Mountains here in Southern Cali, were just about every road in our town is either up or down. You guys have NOTHING to bitch about compared to us. In this last system a couple days ago, we got a grand total of 5 feet of snow. The first night, there was only about 4 inches, so my 'vic made it up to my house fine. The next night I had to leave it at work overnight while my buddy took me home in his Tacoma. I was actually impressed at how my car handles the snow, even compared to my '92 Nissan pickup. Funny how things work out here...

Montreal, Quebec!!!

We get some of the harshess winters. This is also going to be my first winter driving manual. It's been quite slippery in the past couple of days, so I'm extra careful, but snow is a pain in the ***!

Snow removal here also consist of a generous amount of salt spraying, which can ruin a car! You come out of the season with dings and scratches all over the car

I've had to dig out of a house from the back door which was off an elevated deck...I know a thing or two about mass snowfall. The East Coast of Canada gets fu(kin hammered all the time that way.

Snow is the ****! how else can you do donunts with ease. actually ice is even better. driving with a manual is so much easier then an auto for me. especially a fwd manual compared to a rwd auto. the first time it snowed out here this season i did some driving in a foot of snow. civic did pretty damn goos IMO. the snow was sticky so it had this snow ball effect. i had snow covering my headlights. no worries though i got out in no time.

I live in springfield IL and its a biotch!!!! ahhhhhhh. this was the first day of snow, morning was rain. ok i was trying to get out of my school parking lot. it took at least 30 min. STOCK firestones. the front are bald. haha. it was soooo gay. so i am at a stop light and it turns green. I hit the gas ever so slightly (in 2nd gear mind you) and my front of the car slides to the right lane almost hitting the van next to me. i stop and everyone is stopped, looking at me. i wait until some cars in the right go to attempt to straighten out. on my way home i see a car in a parking lot try to exit and hes stuck so he trys reversing and hits the car behind him. that totally could have been me. omg. and today(day after this mayhem) i hafta get a newspaper. my street is totally f***ed up. no plow or anything. and my street is all clumps of ice. It sounds like the ice is putting holes in my exhaust pipes and killing my suspension, not to mention scratching the lip kit. ahhh! im moving to california when i get outta college. Springfield is soooo gay when it comes to being prepared for snow.

I'm glad the snow melted here. But yeah, last year was so bad. Huge chunks of snow spinoff hanging off my kit and when it gets really cold the snow never melts. AT least I have new tires now.

Snow sucks teh shiet. I've had my share of curb crashes and 180 spins in my days living in NY. Now living here in FL, I don't miss it at all. My car remains nice and shiny all year round, until the hurricanes come.....

if you have winter tires and drive slower, it's all good.

I see people who only swear by 4x4's and SUV's but i've never had a risky situation in winter driving.

black ice is also a biatch because u dont see it.

Yeah I hate winter in general not just the snow itself.
I live in Atlantic Canada and we usually get dumped on really good atleast 2 or 3 times durning the winter then the rest of the time its smaller amounts.
The good thing is I put the car in storage so my baby wont get hurt and I have a little 90 Civic hatch for the winter driving and I put studded tires on her and she does just fine.
I will post some pics when we get some snow, right now we have just rain lately but I know its coming soon, GRRRRRRRRRRR!

the only snow we had in my city, was from bubble machines. Tons of snow bubbles at this outdoor mall. It just gets cold as hell in the middle of the desert, but no snow, just rain.
