**** Snow...
I live in IL. Man we got nailed wit snow today. I think they are predicting about 4 inches. I hate snow. I hate snow on my car. On my way home from my work tonight, it had just begun snowing too. Now this is my first year wit a manual in snow, let me tell you, I let the clutch out a big fast, and the front of my car almost did a 180 into another lane. After I got the hang of that, I noticed something kinda funny. There was this green mustang in front of me, whose car was manual. Everytime he would go to hit the gas, the back of his car would seriously swing around into another lane. He couldn't get grip at all. At one point his rear wheels were spinning, and he had the front wheelz turned to the right, and was just moving like that. So to all your rwd peeps running your cars through winter, I salut you. As for me, I'll just be chillin in my civic through this winter.

Yup... I know ABS saved myself and my car a TON of times through the snow. Also I'm glad to have some better grip while turning then RWD cars...

wow ive never driven in snow before but from what i see it's pretty bad
do you guys put those snow chains on the tires? do they really work? can u drive normal with those on? just curious

naw...........that is old school
I just use some rain/snow tires. They have more of a aggressive tread.
Driving in snow blows, gotta go really slow and it is fun when you start sliding and you steer and you overcorrect then you steer the opposite way and hit the brakes and you just slide.
dam, im glad i live in cali where it doesnt snow at all. most damage we get is probably hail and super wind. i'd seriously think about snow tires if its that bad as you say it...
otherwise, goodluck and drive safe in the snow people..
think about taking public transportation... spending $3 on the bart is much better than risking thousands of dollars of your car on the snow.

but i luv the snow....proply cuz i dont live around the snow or drive on snow...i just go there to snowboard and thats about it.

Rep Power: 0 I live in the deep south, I have never even seen any snow. I always think it would be fun, but now after thinking about how to drive in it, you guys can have it all. I'm just gonna chill down here in Texas with my 100% humidity and tropical thunderstorms.

Rep Power: 0 i hate the snow. i remember last year when i just got winter tires for the front wheels and still had bald tires in the rear. it sucked. i was going on an on-ramp and was accelerating and as soon as i shifted to 3rd, the acr went completely sideways and slid off the road. i got snow tires all around now though, so it defeniatly helps. gotta put them on today cause we got our first snow this morning
