oh god no, and i thought the evo/sTI concept's where bad. This looks like a hyundai or a daewoo, honda needs to leave the hatchback area (ie FIT) and get back to coupe's or sedans. I think honda wants to leave the good concepts to acura.

i hope to god its only for the euro market. I figure with disappointment of the current si, Honda would leave there euro designs in europe and let the torrance branch design the coupes for America, like the 7th gen coupe. Coupes are types of cars only Americans buy mostly, so the r & d for the coupe should be left to be done in America.
I wish they would just do would toyota did with the corolla. Just make the engine bay big enough to put whatever engine you want in there and just keep the shell the same. I think that would save them more money by keeping the same platform and just put in a different engine for the car tuner crowd, then bring ugly cars from europe to America to save money on parts.
The car in the pics just looks like the current si except stretched out more and with different taillight and headlights. If this is going to be the 8th gen si for america, then R.I.P civic at least for the tuner crowd. Honestly i dont really like the direction Honda is going. I like a lot of the stuff mazda is doing though. They seem like the honda from the 90's to me. They design sporty but conservative cars with some economy. I bet if you put a H emblem on the mazda 6 it would be selling like crazy.

Eh, if that's just gonna be the hatch model, then I don't think it looks THAT bad. I can only pray that the coupe looks better. If not, then it'll give me even more reason to buy the G35 when I come home...
Don't you guys find it funny-strange-stupid that companies like Honda don't actually seem to follow the scene? If I were involved with someone like Honda, the FIRST thing I would be doing is scoping out websites like this to see what people think, what they like, what they dislike, and what they would expect from the next generation. For instance, you would see the trend of larger four cylinder engines like the 2.0 liter. NO, the civic gets some terrible 1.7. Also, one of the big players in the market today is the all wheel drive turbo field. Can you imagine the popularity of a Honda if it were to put out a turbo? Hell, we even have a freakin turbo NEON!! A NEON!! But hey, that's just me.......what the hell do I know about running a car company?

Hey dudes europeans do have diff shapes sometimes. I've seen a pic of a german civic and it was fugly, looked nothing like any of our hondas, mind you it had 175 bhp to compensate for its fuglyness. I agree it looks like a peugot.
