Trade in Value on my 03 EX?
Trade in Value on my 03 EX?
Kelley's blue book said 13,700 with the amount of miles i have on it. With the mods in my sig and also my $1500 rims/tires and my $900 system, what do you guys think is a fair price? 15,000-15,500 sound reasonable? or is that too low/high? My attempt for a turbo fell through and I recently found the car of my dreams, a 2000 Camaro SS. It has 67k miles and they are sellin it for 12,900 but i'm sure i can get them to go lower.
Please help me out. I want to avoid being low balled.

HOW in the world did you let your car go for 3500? Are you insane?
That's a perfect example of a dealership taking you for all your money. Let me guess, you went in alone, and they just bent you over?

Just to give you an idea.... I have a 2003 Civic Ex coupe with 11,000 miles in MINT condition. The dealer offered me 12,650 for trade, even though the KBB was 13,500. On the plus side having a valuable trade in allowed me decent financing options.

With the rims and stuff I'd say 12-13 sounds like a good price if you plan on selling it to another person. If not, you'll get offered way less through a stealership.

My friend (HELP_ME) traded his 2002 Civic LX (23k miles) with couple of mods(cf hood, exaust, droped, oem lip kit, tyc head&tails, 17' rims, new cdplayer, spoiler) for a 350Z.
and He god $11,000 for the Civic. Not so bad I guess.
I bet you'll get around $11k+ with that low of miles on.

Find a 16 year-old that thinks your Civic is just like one of those cars from the Fast and the Furious. Tell him how you trounce GT Mustangs all day at the races. See how much he'll give you.
My guess is your aftermarket parts are going to negatively affect what a dealer will offer you for trade in. If its a Honda dealership they are going to want to sell the car as a "Certified Used Honda" being it is late model with low miles. In order to do this, they are going to have to remove all of your aftermarket parts and replace them with stock. You don't usually see dealers sell late model cars that have been modded. It will cost them more money to put your car back to stock, thus they will offer you considerably less.
Oh, and on a seperate note. Stay away from the camaro. It will give you nothing but trouble. Especially since it already has 67,000 miles on it. They are cheap (yet fast) junk. Just something to consider. May want to keep your vic.
