Hate to admit it, but the mexican look of having the 12" 100 spoke Dayton wheels with the wheels sticking a foot out passed the fender of the car kinda look better than the steel wheels with no hub caps on there. Now thats sad!! GO BEENER!!

Some cars can actually pull that look off. I like the older impalas, but with the rims not out very far, if at all. I hate the black rims, I always look at the people and laugh when I see them with no hubcaps. They look over at me, like what? It looks way more ghetto, less clean, fugly. IMO anyways. You can upgrade your steelies for like 200 bucks easily, go to discount tire, if you want a better look. They probably have financing as well.

some cars in the past came with steelies and no caps. their are also some ppl who get their hubbies stolen and they just dont bother buying new ones because its gonna get stolen again (but odds are low). ppl who take off their hub caps for that "black rim" look are poor, "ricers", and give bad reputation of that specific car.

my friend had a 99 corolla and his hubcaps would keep falling off the steelie (their clip ons btw). so he didnt wanna bother with it rolling down the street so he just stored them in his trunk.

as for the mexicans and the 100 spokes 12" rims... HAHAHA
its funny to see those wheels pop like 2 feet out on the road taking 1 and 1/2 lanes.

Pretty Much....I was reading the posts and hoping somebody was going to say that, it's what I do....why pay a little extra if your not tryin to look good for the winter, your just tryin to be safe....most hubs look dumb anyway unless they are a nice looking stock set...

when i went to the track they told me no hubcaps so i pulled them and left them at a friends house his mom junked them, so for like 7 months i had no hubcaps they looked ok at first when they still had that gloss look but that faded and they just look like carp but since then i think black rims real rims that is would look killer on my car, btw i got new hubcaps after my crash insurance payed

Most of the time it's people realizing "Hey, crap, these caps look pretty ugly, I'd rather have just the black steelies". I'd rather have steelies than caps; it's not trying to be "JDM", it's just making your car look the way you want. I dunno man, that statement was pretty ignorant. Just cause they can't afford rims doesn't mean they can't personalize their own cars. How would you like it if people posted on here "Man, I can't believe people with Civics drive around without putting 18's on their cars! Losers, why would they even buy a Civic if they weren't gonna change the stock rims!"

For ***** and giggles you should buy the hubcap spinners, thos things crack me up. My roomate and I saw a beretta with hubcap spinners on there. We walk up to it **** drunk after we got out of the bars last saturday and he went to sping the rear ones and they hardly moved at all. So we walk up to spin the front one and the thing spun, but it had about a pound of sand in it, and it just sounded really loud and scratchy, so damn funny! We shoulda left him a bottle of WD40 so they could once again spin as they did straight out of the box from Walmart

I was gonna get a set for my winter steelies. But I found something else instead. I had a yellow stock cavy pull up next to me in one. I like my stock EX hubbies. Me personally though, the LX/DX hubbies were ugly. And pretty much any aftermarket hubby on the market is azz ugly. Some older civics came with steelies. Stop hating on the ***** that ride on steelies just because you used to do it not too long ago, and then realized it looked kinda lame, so now you criticize others that do it.

I too agree that they look ridiculous but there's an EG hatch here in AZ slammed on steelies with drag radials with a built single cam turbo which happens to be quiet fast. Only those cars I will not laugh but anything other than cars like that, I shake the head.

so what you are sayin is all the hondas/ mainly hatches that are fast, but ride steelies are stupid because they dont look good when the owner probably has a swap and kills your car in a race. Now lemme think... who looks stupid. On honda-tech maybe u should tell the guy that his all motor hatch is gay cause it has red doors but is white. Some people dont get civics to go show. Some people care less and would rather spend it on their motor. So dont criticize people for doing there own thing
