cry02 DIY kit??

hey guys,

maybe a corny idea... but i got to thinking yesterday... i have a scuba size tank laying around... thats made to hold CO2 and i called DEI who makes the cryo kit... if they just sell the selinoid to release the C02 into the intake... they do its about 50 bucks so if i get the fittings and all that crap... you guys think its possible... or is it worth it.. whats up... gimme your imput

Good luck. Yes DEI does sell just the solenoid, I can get them for you.

why the fu(k do you want to shoot carbon dioxide into your intake?? CO2 does not burn, oxygen does. if you meant blowing it ON the intake pipe to cool it, its still a pretty stupid idea. here is why: 1. its a heavy tank. if i know what a skuba tank is, thats at least 10lbs of useless weight that you are adding somewhere. and its big and clunky also. 2. if something goes wrong and you shoot the CO2 anywhere but the intake, say like onto the block or onto the heads, you can say bye bye to them. theres a good chance you'll crack them. ever take an ice cold glass and put it into boiling water? yeah...boom. 3. the actual HP improvements that you might get from this are so small that its pointless to even try it.

ok u guys just made yourself look like asses... first of all the CRYo2 kit shoots into the intake in a conceled bulb... not in the actual engine you ***... and its connected to the intake threw braided hose, and cant spray anything else... ask before u assume, when u assume u make an *** out of U an ME
