What doe severyone think about starting somekind of raffle here?
Just throwing out ideas, but think about it. If someone were to organize a raffle and sell tickets for 5 or 10 bucks each to all the members of 2k1, that would be more than enough to get "THE VERY FIRST TURBO AVAILABLE"

I know I would be down to put in a couple bucks towards a chance at winning a turbo. I'm sure more than enough money would be raised, if not, then we can refund everyones money if we don't reach the price of the turbo. But if everyone jumps on, we would have more than enough. Maybe a percentage of the extra money can go towards 2k1civic.com or maybe even raffling other stuff off like exhausts.

Just an idea, would it work?

sounds like a good idea to me. I'd put in $5 for a turbo.... hmm, 600 people would have to participate (assuming a turbo is $3k) at $5 a ticket. I'm not sure that 600 people post regularly so $5 may be out of the question. I'd say more like $20. That means that at least 150 people would have to participate. That sounds more realistic. As for a cat back exhaust system for say $500, we could raffle it at $5 a ticket. Hopefully, we have a sponsor to provide the goodies to be raffled off.

artychris: With what whiterice is saying it means we don't need companies to give the stuff. The money that gets collected for the raffle is what is used to buy the item up for raffle.
If we got stuff donated for raffles, then the tciket price wouldn't matter.

Tell you what, give me money and I will give you something guaranteed....this site! No need for a raffle.
