Test Drove SRT-4 today
You're not shifting fast enough.
WIth the stage kits you can also power ****...and there's boost hold feature that will HOLD the boost through each gear.
And did somone say crappy dodge drivetrain in this thread? Please, do you know exactly what drivetrain is in there? I don't even need you to response to say no you don't. The tranny is a T-850 made in germany along with a very very very strong drivetrain. These trannies can handle shitloads of torque, end of story.

wait til 2008, if the neon srt-4 are still around and running strong, it may change its own reputation. of course, many are waiting for this moment heh
if dodge changes the neon design platform, that'd be clean. but that shows that they were stupid enough to start with it. on that note, then that would show a sign that using the neon platform was embarassment as neon's seem "girly" and opposite of "cool".

there is no more neon after 2005. dodge has already announced this.
^^^ Yep, from what I hear, it seems mitsu and chrysler are going to share the lancer platform. I *think* basically it'll be the the lancer evo being the AWD performance car and the SRT being the FWD performance car, but both on the same the plateform. Also different engines etc. The base economy cars I imagine will be the same throughout except the body. That's what I gather after all my reading on it anyhow. REason is is that's a little more feasible and saves money, plus it's something fresh. The neon platform has been out 11 years, getting old.

they are getting redone..so I wouldnt by the current body SRT-4. Ohh ya they are good cars and people on this site that claim otherwise are just jelous. If your not looking for performance, they are ugly and they are still a neon...
The SRT-4 engine will continue on I believe on the newer cars.. not too sure about that, maybe with the new engines they will have a new SRT-4 system.
The clutch will hold like 450 - 500 hp, and the tranny is good for around there too.
There is the new ACR version which was limited to like 500 cars, with a coilover suspension, and light weight wheels.
They have good potential.
The warrenty business is crap.. Dodge HAS been cracking down and revoking some peoples warrenties, but only if they do really stupid modifications that could damage something. The stage upgrades, and mopar parts are still covered under warrenty.
