if everybody here is saying all that stuff about econo car and what not, then why has everybody here bought at least an i/h/e if u know its not going to do **** for you? i think its pointless and a waste of money for people to be doing that. if your gonna be slow, hell at least drive slow in some style, but i do agree that our cars are the sexiest out there.

There's definately no doubting that the 7thgen Civic and EL are really nice lookin cars. I only question the fact they went with such a shitty motor when the technology exists to make a fuel efficient DOHC engine. The Si/EX and EL should come with a DOHC and rear disc brakes (EL has the rear disc). The others below can stay where they are. Then the SiR/Si can have increased horsepower and upgraded suspension features along with nice seats and all that other BS.

I had a Civic CX and a GS-R so pretty much best and worst ! Ha Ha Ha I love my 01 EX manual, I know one day it's gonna have K power maybe sooner, maybe later but one day. I'm going to be installing my EXEDY clutch in my D17 soon, so i'm hoping that with make my EX a little more fun to drive. By the way, they are sexy as hell!

Why must everyone insist on our cars sucking because they dont have any power? THEY ARENT SUPPOSED TO.
Ditto. If ya wanna complain about power, then just boost it!! Our cars may not respond to bolt ons, but they respond better with boost than most other cars do!! Like i heard a story of someone on here beating an eclipse GT running 10 PSI with only 7 PSI!!!!!!!!!

shut up with the bitching.. you bought the car so drive it. everyone in here took a test drive and knew what they were getting, so shut up with the whinning. booh hoo my car is slow. cry somewhere else. i knew my car was slow so i made it faster, faster than a rsx. ohhhh andi still get better fuel economy. its not a record breaker AND NEVER WILL BE. Gee no wonder other people talk bad about the 7thgen civic, because there own owners do!

Cool

i bought the 04 EX Coupe in magnesium metallic (5 speed all the way), and i love the car. the styling, drive, and interior is clean for the money. (50.00 above invoice) best bang for the buck i've ever spent as a first time new car owner. the only thing i want to do in the near future with the car is lower it with quality suspension (research in progress).

i had a VW for the past 5 years. the vw's reliability and build is no where near the 04 coupe that i enjoy now. plus the 04 coupes look pimp. i grew tired of the boxy vw body very fast and the interior was cheap in the 3rd gen vws.

i would love to have a more torque on the low end, but i can't complain because it has more pros than cons for a brand new ride.

for a stock car, the new civics are awesome IMHO.

i would love to see more DIY threads here at the 7th gen forums. i used to visit vwvortex.com and they had a wealth of information for DIYs. there's a good foundation here, but i'm hoping that will grow more as more 7th gen members add their experiences here.

Talking

vic is a nice car to begin with. if you want to buy a 25 to 30k plus car out the door (taxes and licensing) then more power to you.

i'm part of the "majority" of the american population where dropping that kind of money isn't worth sacrificing quality of living.

if i was in a different socio-economic class...hell..i'd grab a m3 i love the torque on the beemers.

exactly..that's what i'm talking about. the car is affordable and looks pimp. lowering it a little will make it look pretty badass....just have to save up and research the right kit. i don't want the creaking sound that i hear others go through after lowering their cars, so i'll have to make sure i get the right setup and install from the very beginning.
