JDM...why.
what is the deal with mass desire to have your car look "JDM". are yall doin it for the 'sleeper' impression, or is just a style youre goin for... guess i dont understand why yall dump thousands so it looks more stock. especially for a country you dont drive in...

Rep Power: 0 its all about being different. People in the US wants JDM, but people in Japan wants USDM. I've seen a civic in a pic from thailand who converted his folding mirrors to US spec fixed mirrors.

Rep Power: 350 some "jdm" things i think look good like subtle body kits and going with smaller rims.. but people who do the whole "jdm look" i dont like

Rep Power: 0 I think people desire the JDM look because better parts come from Japan and hence a better car is produced if modified with JDM parts. Also some people like the JDM look more with the smoked headlights and such things that is linked with jdm.
I'm not really for the jdm "look", but I am all for jdm parts. I think getting jdm wheels within reason is worth it. Volks, SSR, and Racing hart are reasonably priced wheels with high quality. They also give you a little respect, such as wearing a Rolex. I just can't stand the mark-up of wheels like Mugen where you will spend $2000 for 15s when you can get 17inch Volks for that price.

I agree with you. I hate the fact that everyone hates rice now a days, when you grab any import "battle" japan race video from your local import shop and 90% of the cars have kits on them, but here in the US, it's "ugly rice". And only JDM is cool. Personally, what I think is cool, is what the OWNER of the car likes. You like big wings? That's cool for you. I hate the way people bash other peoples cars like they can actually change it.
