Very Frustrated With Tint Shop!!!
Well at the beginning of august, I had to get my inspection and I couldnt find any place to inspect my car with my tint. I had one place that was going to do it, but the day I went, they didnt have any inpection stickers. So I ended up taking the tint of on my 2 front windows.
Well the same day I got my car inspected, I went back to the tint shop and got the 2 front windows redone for $50. So after an hour I get it back, and just as I am getting on the freeway, I noticed all these scracthes all over the tint. Well since I was already on the freeway, and there was a traffic jam, it was too late for me to go back.
So I went back on monday, and showed the guy who said that those scratched wouldnt have been caused by them. That is was my seatbelt, but even when he took my seatbelt out, it didnt even align with the scratches.
After arguing with him for over 15 min, he finally said he would do it over. Well after they were done, I get my car back and right away I noticed this line of bubbles that went accross the whole window. Now these werent air or watter bubbles, these were bubbles that if a tint shop messes up, they will pull the tint up and re-lay it. Well the guy said wait about 5 days, and if it doesnt go away to come back. Well it never went away, so I went back a week later, and they do that window over again.
Now this time I get it back, they didnt tint all the way over to the corner of the window, there was little less then a half an inch of window that wasnt tinted, so I showed the guy and they redit. Now I got it back fine, but here is my next problem, these *******s didnt tint all the way under the molding on the bottom of my window, it sites above it, so everytime I role my window down, the bottom slowly peels up. Well I tryed fixing it myself by taking a razor blade and cutting off the parts on the bottom where it was peeling up, but even doing that, it still peels up everywhere.
Should I go back and demand my money back, or have these ****** keep doing it untill its right. I am just sick of going back,I have been there about 5 times already. I can even see the tinter getting mad, but that doesnt bother me because he keeps fuking up on it. This is just frustrating me so bad.
I have to always keep my windows up now because rolling them down just makes it peel.

Go back and show them what needs to be fixed. Tell them that you will continue to hassle them until they get it right. If they say they won't redo it again for free, go to another place. Never recommend that place to anyone.

Good luck with it..Thank god I didn't have problems with my tint shop..my friend did the first time he went there he said there was DNA inside of his tint/a piece of hair pretty much haha..but he calls it DNA..they fixed it and he didnt have a problem ever since..I never had any bubbles or anything so I'm a happy camper! But let us know how it goes/went.
definately demand money back. their supposely "professionals" but from their work, their obiovusly not. give them one more chance and tell them you want your money back if it doesnt work out this time. if they deny your money, take it to court or take legal action.
take many pics of their work in case this goes to court. btw, you have lifetime warranty for the tint right?

I am going to be pissed if I show them tomorrow and they dont fix it. If you look at it right now, you wont really see any peeling because all the places that did peel up, I used a razor blade to cut off. So if you look at the bottom of the tint, you will see all these razor blade cuts in it. But there are a few places that you can see are starting to peel up.
get your money back, or tell them you'll report them to the better business bureau. they had their chance(s), and they obviously can't get it right the first time. it's a waste of your and their time, period.

Ok here is how it went this morning at the tint shop. Sorry if this is long.
I get there and tell the guy I am having another problem with my tint, and I explain that it is peeling up, so he comes out to look at it.
Well he looks at it and ask how long ago I had it done, so I said 3 weeks ago. Then he asks how long I waited to roll the windows down, and I told him 1 week. He then tries to say that he thinks It wont happen anymore and to give it about a week and if it gets worse to come back. I then told him it has gotten worse and after 10 min of arguing, he finally pulls my car to the back.
Then he comes back out after that and tells me that since my car has been in there 5 times to have the tint replaced, that this is the last time. So I grabbed my receipt out of the car, and pointed to him the "lifetime warranty statement" and told him that I would stop coming in once there tinter stopped fuking up the tint.
Well then the owner came out and looked at it, and told me that there isnt much of a problem with it, and small peels arent a big deal. That the whole window is still fine. So I told him it wasnt fine. Everytime I roll down my window, it peels up some.
Then he tries to tell me that in civics, the windows dont sit right and move around which causes it to do that. oh man, I was thinking that was such
He then asks his tinter about it, and of cource, the tinter gets all pissed off and speaks spanish to him, then looks at me, and tells me I am a whiner. I wanted to knock his *** out so bad for that ****. So I tell him, yea I am a whiner, I didnt pay for a shitty tint jobs. And I told him he needs to take his time with the **** and do it right. And if he cant do it right, then he needs to get a different job. I also told him that his tint jobs were shitty. How do you miss a half inch of the window when tinting?
Well they finally did it over and it took him 2 hours to do both windows, but it does look alot better now.
The funny thing is though, while I was there, 3 other people came in complaining about there tint. One girl told me she has had them replace her rear window tint 3 times, each time, it peels off, or are massive bubbles in it. She said if it doesnt get fixed this time, she is going to demand a refund. Even after a lady got her brand new nissan altima tinted there right before they started mine, they brought it out after it was done, and I looked at it, and saw this big strip on the window that was peeling, and she didnt notice it untill she left because she immediatly came back. Also I noticed that this is the only tinter they have. So maybe he is under alot of pressure because they do one car at a time which I never knew. I dont understand that though. All other shops have like 10 people who do tinting and can do 10 cars at once.
Anyway, if you live in houston, stay away from cartronix on hwy 6. They apparently dont do anything right. No wonder they didnt have any customers there today. Just people coming in to complain.
