Whats a Engine Damper?

Pop ur hood, then have someone to sit in the driver seat and rev the engine. You'll notice ur engine rocks to the side when it revs up. I've never seen an engine damper on a car personally yet, but i'm GUESSING the logic behind it is to keep the engine from rocking like it does. I dunno the benefits to that but yeah, i'ma newbie too I wonder with a damper if it would make ur whole car rock to the side when you reved instead of just ur engine. That would so scare someone if they were about to race you and you went VROOOM! and ur car leaned! (ya know, rock like a mustang gt does when you rev the engine )

It absorbs engine vibration. The mounts are what keep the car from rocking when you rev.

No, it reduces vibration from the engine while driving...its not really a performance mod. Your car jerks when you let go of the clutch too fast because your drivetrain is slamming together.

As far as the car rocking causing intimidation, I think anyone that gets intimidated by a civic or tries to intimidate others with said car is retarded

My Jeep did that...its more annoying than anything.

Haha. You know what i mean though. I mean like if you're running another civic or a 6th gen SI. And i don't mean purposefully going around trying to intimidate every car you see. I just mean like on the line, lined up beside a car of equal potential and rev and ur car rocks, the other guy'd be like WTF!?!? But ur right, a civic.......intimidating.......HAHAHAHAHAHA
