Why do people keep comparing the Mazda3 GT to the RSX Type S, theres no contest w. the Type S, but seeing as how the 3 GT has 160HP and so does the RSX, so best to stick to a fair comparison.

As for posting pics of the Mugen ITR, um...I don't think thats even remotely comaprable to a 3GT

^ Acutally, that's the Mugen Integra Type S (which is the base model in the US).

Sorry, I meant to say Type S, though I got caught up reading the text on top of the image, I suppose the large Type S on the grill would have tipped me off...

Either way, its the Mugen Type S, meaning its probably received cosmetic and mechanical enhancements, which might still mean that comparing it to a 3 isn't necessarily a fair contest.

Ima test drive a new RSX-S tonight, and see how I like it. Our friend who sold me my Civic, is now a fleet manager at an Acura Dealer, hell yeah!

If that's the case, **** the RSX since it's the cheapest Acura.

Is there any other choice in this situation besides the RSX. A Mazda or an Acura, there should be no second thoughts.

I suppose you could toss the Nissan S-ER Spec V into the list, I think its in the same price range as the base RSX isn't it? But higher priced than the MZ3 GT?

Interestingly enough, I think the 3GT and the base RSX are in H-stock (Solo II) and the S-ER Spec V is all the way up in D stock with the Integra Type R and BMW 330Ci's, thats what you get for coming w. a limited slip. Not that this has any bearing on this discussion. But looking at the Solo II classes kind of gives you a very general feeling of how a car performs all around.

i know lots of you will hate me for this but i would take the mazda 3. everyone has an rsx or type s....too over played. plus i think the 3 has more of a sleeper look....which i am all about. besides 2.3l engine....i would def turbo that....plus with that big *** front air damn....a black intercooler would hide behind that nicely. just saying one guys opinion. let the bashing comense.

Its not a bad car for the price at all. Preliminary dynos are even showing a 140whp stock output at the wheels, so thats pretty impressive too. I don't know if I'd paint an intercooler black though, that would just be a little bit weird and probably wouldn't do great things for it's ability to dissipate heat.

I'd wait for a MAZDASPEED 3, they'll come out with one for sure! The MS Protege was good, but this whole new car will be a ton better.

really? does it just feel like it handles better cause of the 17's and stiff front sway bar, or can you take turns with it faster than a vic?

Mm, ITR > MSP, if you wanted to talk about good handling and FWD cars.

pLaYa6tNine, I'm afraid I don't see what makes them totally different cars as the specs and performance are nearly identical, though mind you, the 3 has better braking dist. and costs less...

yup. get a used or discounted S2k. rsx-s is good but can't compare to the s2k in terms of performance, sexyness and handling.
